A group of white nationalists descended upon Charlottesville, VA this weekend to protest the removal of a statue of Robert E. Lee. The proud "patriots" protested with shouts of "blood and soil" and Nazi flags, the same flags their grandfathers no doubt fought against in WWII.

They showed their support for their cause by wearing khakis, white shirts and proudly carried tiki torches reminiscent of KKK marches and no doubt purchased prior to the march at the local Wal Mart and Dollar General. Nothing says true american patriotism like cheap, made-in-China luau products, right?



i really can't help but make fun of these idiots but probably shouldn't because all this silly nonsense culminated Saturday in the death of young woman who was ran over when some asshole rammed his car at 40mph into a crowd of counter protesters.

Promoting and normalizing anti-white racism leads to a growing trend of white nationalism.

 

You have to wonder how long the open promotion of hatred toward white people for JUST being white was going to be accepted. What sucks is that ANYONE who objects is automatically associated with "white supremacy" and "white privilege" even though most of the poor in the US, are white people. Trying to hold the whole lot of them to "blame" for all the ills of society and history is a stupid plan from the start.

But seriously, how do we find middle ground when ANY white person who wants to discuss the matter in realistic terms is instantly branded as a "racist". That must change or a compromise isn't on the horizon.

 

Leaving the swastika flags at home and not doing the nazi salute are two simple ways I can think off the top of my head to attempt a reasonable conversation and to avoid being branded a racist.

 

When did this happen? I must have missed it. I'm as white as a goddamn lily and I've never felt any racism directed towards me. And just what are these poor, downtrodden souls protesting? Not enough white people in the NBA? One of our 45 presidents wasn't white? Confederate ideology is evil and any monument celebrating it should be demolished.

I can't fathom any American flying a fucking Nazi flag. Both my granddads fought against those bastards in WWII. Now we have homegrown Nazis on our own soil. It's just unthinkable.

We have everything and so many advantages in society whose lack of existence for others seems to be their fault in your mind. CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — An Ohio man, 20-year-old James Alex Fields Jr is accused of plowing his car into counter-protesters at a white nationalist rally in Virginia is set to make his first court appearance.

Fields is charged with second-degree murder and other counts after authorities say he drove into the crowd, fatally injuring one woman and hurting 19 others.

A high school teacher said Fields was fascinated with Nazism, idolized Adolf Hitler and had been singled out by school officials in the 9th grade for his "deeply held, radical" convictions on race.

My eyes cant roll far enough back in my head when I hear middle class white men complain about how oppressed they are.

Particularly when the middle class white men in question are carrying Nazi flags and pitchforks, er tiki torches, deliberately chosen to invoke images of a time when the KKK carried pitchforks and set fire to houses to terrorize a certain racial group living under apartheid at the time and, ya know, experiencing real opppression.

Mortality rates for whites have increased, while they have declined for all other groups. There is no precedent for a race-specific increase in mortality, except for genocide.

Middle-aged white men now have the highest rates of suicide of any group in America. Also the highest rates of "deaths of despair" in general, which includes poisonings (opioid overdose, alcoholism).

This mortality rate is especially high among the working class, and in certain regions, such as the American South.

I don't believe that all whites, or all white men, are necessarily having the same experience.

If you look at the content of the media over the last 27 years or so, it is indistinguishable from psychological warfare on white straight men who are (even moderately) socially conservative. I believe that the mortality statistics, in addition to statistics on lowered birth rate, reflect the outcome of a genocidal psychological warfare waged against this group.

Let me be clear that I don't endorse slavery, maintaining public statues of RE Lee, white supremacy, neo-nazism, or acts of violence against peaceful protesters.

At least a certain fraction of white men do have legitimate complaints, however
