Lol touche! I've never seen the process from bean to the curdlike substance myself so, yeah. Must be alien! Hehe
I don't think I like green eggs and ham. Hehe *oh, remove the "think" This is cool! I didn't know they were considered "lyrics"! http://www.lyricsfreak.com/d/dr+seuss/green+eggs+and+ham_20208487.html
I thought about this, but never did it...or, maybe I did, but just didn't call it or the recipe didn't call it "paneer", because yea I am not supposed to eat dairy, ohhh but those dishes are solo good! Actually, that is it! You called it curd too. So yea, I tried once to break it down to be like a curd(yogurt as we say over here), but yuck! Not the same. Texture is all off! Maybe store bought version is better, but coconut yogurt/curd is awful too. You serious folks on here are making me hungry!! Yeah, deep fried? I had tofu like that once in a Chinese restaurant and kept going back for more at the buffet! (Think that was about when I first had tofu, maybe 8 or 9 years ago. So good!)
We have this restaurant in California called Lazy Dog (There's also one in Texas and one in Las Vegas, I think) https://www.lazydogrestaurants.com/location And anyway they have tofu on their menu. It's part of their bowls selection where you can pick your protein and what type of rice goes into the bowl.. and it's really cheap with tofu. Looks like this. https://www.lazydogrestaurants.com/menu/bowls
i do like paneer. i usually get the vacuum packed (which is only a couple of bux) at tj's or sometimes the frozen (which is a buck more and comes with interesting rice as the other course). i've probably had it at an indian buffette resteraunt too, but its been so long since the last time i went to one.
I really enjoy it. But, I'm vegetarian, that mostly eats vegan, so I feel like it would be weird if I didn't like it. I'm sure there are vegetarians, vegans that don't like tofu. That must be a thing. But, I don't think it's too much of a thing.
Me too. My ex wife used to make it at home. Nowadays it's only if I get an Indian take away I get to eat it.
It doesn't look particularly appealing. But if cooked properly it is OK. I have some veggie friends who often serve it, and I don't have any problem eating it all up. It would be a rarity for me to buy it for myself alone though.
Oh....I love soy burgers....Greenwich Village, NYC has a place that I would always go to just for their soy burgers.....
