I was shown my first bible scripture 24 years ago Psalms 37:29 by my ex father in law a Jehovah Witness the day before I married his daughter. and it planted a seed in my head. That the meek will possess the earth and live forever on it. When I was shown this I was in the Marine Corps, I had already been in the Army. Infantry in both. I listened to Satanic music, would do any drug I could get my hands on, I was a thief, a womanizer, I was very violent, gambled. You name it. Lots of porno too. So I would have a long way to go if I was ever want to be a Jehovah Witness. Also had a alcohol micro managing, bare ass whipping father. I ran away 3 times as a youth. Once I hitchhiker at age 15 1000 miles
Well when he created it, he didn't think about the expansion of the sun as it wears off before it burns out.
I think it's very relevant if whatever a meek is, is going to be living on the earth forever. I would be taking this extremely seriously.
Wouldnt the meek be the billion or so people on the planet living on $1 a day, though According to the World Bank, in 2010, Those in the world living in extreme poverty, less than $1.25 a day, 18% of the worlds population, were living in 5 countries mostly: China, India, Nigeria, Bangladesh, The Congo They are the meekest, therefore they would I assume get priority through the pearly gates And as far as I am aware, not many JWs in that lot
Eternal life in a resurrected body on a planet with an expiration date... hmm yeah: i go with valhalla as well
It was early 90's, probably some stale 80's metal like Slayer or Merciful Fate (i actually love the latter). Better ask me: the 90's brought forth the best satanic/antichristian music ever recorded (if one can appreciate the more extreme metal) and I was a fresh adolescent back then :cheers2:
"And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, 'Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.'" Luke 6:20 "But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation." Luke 6:24
Yeah i had people rambling to me about Iron Maiden being satanic. Ah well can't blame them if they only took notice of Number of the beast
Misfits. I can barely remember, but yes of course, Iron Maiden, I didn't like Slayer I have only listened to Kingdom songs for the last 3 years. No tv in 6 years now
Yes it looks like our resident Jehovah's witness in training isn't going to help, so might be best just to ask you
Misfits are cool, I have friends who do a lovely folk acoustic version of Last Caress Sweet lovely death, I'm waiting on your last caress
Meli, I'm wondering now: did you actually listen to my Nargaroth recommendation in the parking lot the other day? Or did you pass
