This is a picture of a quiet little spot on Swift Camp Creek, right off the Swift Camp Creek trail, in the Clifty Wilderness area of Daniel Boone National Park.

 

I haven't grown any such flowers, but i'm quite a nerd about watching the unblossomed flowers bloom in the gift bouquets hehe. Yeah, I was taking daily pictures for a few weeks the last time, which now makes me interested in finding those pics (at least just for me. man! was a long time ago! lol)

this reminds me of a childhood vacation and is quite dreamlike. Water and greens and browns are quite my zen. ^^

this looks a very familiar scene, although surprisingly, I haven't observed many squirrels out this year. But we have a very similar tree nearby and I've got lots of pictures of that. Ohhh!!!! haha yes, I've got a great pic for this thread! kindof funny. hold on...

It's more the operator than the device. Panoramics aren't easy to get right.

 

This squirrel was the funniest thing. He steadfastly hung off the tree, his little head moving back and forth, left and right, while joggers and cyclists kept zipping by. You could just hear see him thinking "Come on guys, it isn't easy hanging off this thing!"

 

dont remind me...that god damned engine has to come out again and get even more work done due to the owner not telling me the whole story about what was happening when it quit

Not sure if you're the squirrel tapping on the tree or giving me the gentle reminder. lol I'm recuperating from a long weekend. But I'll be back again this week, at least that's the plan!

 

I came across a duck with her ducklings today. I thought they only breed in the spring, but I guess anytime goes. Or they think it's still spring with all the rain we've had.




I had to stop to take video too so thought I'd post a small clip. The mother had a time keeping them together, she had to herd them back a few times. They started waddling towards me at one point. All I need is the dang things to imprint on me and follow me home. "Mummy!" A bit of commentary from me in the video.

lol, Mum's got to keep at the rear to keep the tots reeled in! If Mum took the lead, she may never see the kids again. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. :-D
