proof of my nerd status: this thread showed up in my notifications as "7% Of Americans Think Choco... " and my first thought was that i didn't remember posting in a thread about chocobos.

You know, I don't see why we're not genetically engineering cows to produce chocolate milk.

It saves transport costs for chocolate, so it'd be environmentally friendly!

As to the chocolate milk coming from brown cows, I consider us lucky the number wasn't higher.

Bovine hormonal secretions. The intent and existence of which is for one thing and one thing only....to supply calves with the requisite nutrition to grow into cows.

I have an MD friend whom I'm currently giving flying lessons to. He says that the whole Got Milk? Campaign over the past few decades is one of the most successfully fraudulent scams ever foisted upon the American peoples by a food producer. Or by a Lobby.

He further claims that the only good thing he can say about it is that it might be better than drinking a soft drink. Maybe.

Did you know that the fda allows a certain amount of pus in your milk? Yep. This comes from broken pustules on the udders, that are frequently ruptured during the automatic milking process.

I'm proud to say I haven't drank a glass of milk in over ten years. An old buddy used to call it White Blood. And the imagery that term conjured was sufficient in helping me rid my diet of that shit. So I guess I owe him a thank you.

Yeah, milk is nasty if you think of it that way, and humans certainly don't need it. You could say the same thing of all dairy, though. We don't need cheese, butter, or ice cream either.
