One of my favourite post-punk tunes is "Back To Nature" by Fad Gadget. Seems appropriate.

I might pay a buck for one but more than 5? I rather just fidget with a 5 dollar bill.

when people have moved on to the next thing, and nobody wants them any more, i'll get one for 99 cents or at a garage sale.

that's sort of the way i am.

the good thing about pet rocks was anyone could make them and sell them at a flea market,
if you were into selling things at flea markets.

that's what made them total genius.

i never got around to buying or making one though.

art plushies, one offs, not mass produced,
from the origeonal artist, those i've got one or two.

no huge collection. just something to bring home from an artist's convention a couple of times.

    these things.
if i had some lying around,
i'd probably make something mechanical that used them as a part.

doesn't always relieve as much stress as it takes to get there though. totally depends on a great many variables.

bubble wrap isn't free, its just something we usually don't think about how we paid for when we end up with it.

baskets have uses. not something i do literally, but i suppose many of my hobbies and interests could be equated with it to some degree.
doing so is kind of in the eye of the beholder.

    I think it's great.

When I'm at work and on a long phone call with a client or another company. And I just have to sit there and listen to them ramble on and on. I sit there and quietly spin my spinner.

thankfully I did not think to attach chalk or a marker to the end of my zorro sword [stick]...there would have been z's on every surface in my neighborhood as well as every kid who was smaller than me

I agree..toys are toys ad not fads....as a child I could not buy a toy in a gas station...you could only buy gas at a gas station...at best they had a pop machine or gumball machine....nowadays you can buy bongs at my local shell station as well as those damn spinners......I buy my rolling papers at my gas station these days

but no, like i say, i'll try the current when its cheaper when its no longer current,
not because i'm an old fart, which i am, but because i'm a cheap bastard, which i am also.

oddly enough, something you can make that is a very great deal like this, can be quite an effective hunting weapon.
