Yes, maybe I did. But what I'm trying to say is that cows do not have a concept of the term "racism", so they are incapable of holding a moral position on it, whereas we are.

    ok i got it now

so the cow is allowed to protect itself but a smart person capable of rational thought is not..because that would make them a racist

You know, I bet there are a lot of you that don't surround yourselves around specific types of people. People you don't have a common interest with, people that don't live your lifestyle. Do you bring in junkie bootin up heroin addicts home for your children to speak with?

What about the Preacher for the atheists? Do you surround yourselves with religious figures, invite them into your home to talk about Lord Jesus to your children when you're teaching them evolution etc?

No. No you don't do that. So why is racist if someone who's into heavy metal music and owns 3 dogs and likes to sleep around to not involve themselves with a culture that will look down on their lifestyle?

It's not. It's a personal preference. I don't associate myself with certain people because we got nothing between us. It isn't racist it's just my god damn given right to enjoy the company of folks I want to be accompanied by.

You're dilusional if you think otherwise IMO, hand fed the propaganda I speak of. Lol. Have to get along with everyone and have to be friends with people that don't want to be friends with you either because of cultural differences and lifestyles. Lol.

Best enrole for a position in the next Hollywood film or Netflix series, they'll keep feeding that to you for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

No problem with ordinary people - just the sick MFs who run things here in our green and pleasant land.

"some other country of which new immigrants are going to be less trouble"

BINGO! When I went to high school virtually every European country was represented and there were a few Chinese, Japanese and Canadian blacks. Not one of them ever gave the impression he wasn't with the program. In my experience, even lapsed Christians (atheists/agnostics etc) don't suddenly change their culture. It's already bred n the bone and it basically says don't hit people over the head and don't take their stuff.

As a corollary - don't talk about sex, religion or politics in the officers' mess (in the enlisted mess they only talk about sex so it's less complicated).

None of the these immigrants threatened the status quo, even though they were all individuals and might well write hostile newspaper articles or smoke dope or attend demnstrations when they got older. It was all still within the elastic framework of a basically-democratic (with all its faults) society.

They were certainly 'less' trouble than some of today's new arrivals (particularly those from a highly-arrogant culture).

There's also a constant cry of 'racist' against those who express philosophic disagreements with Muslims, even though Islam is nothing to do with race. All races have Muslim adherents.

MOST of what is termed RACISM, actually has to do with CULTURE.

My high school was multi-racial but we shared the same accent, the same culture and the similar aspirations. We differed in lots of ways, obviously, but we were united by a COMMON THREAD of socialisation.

In which context are we talking about here? Diversities benefits or detriments probably vary a lot by situation.

Pretty funny to see the British of all people complain their culture is under attack. You forcefully colonized the whole world and now you are upset a Muslim man is at Tesco.

Yeah! You should suffer the consequences because of what your ancestors did, and not have an opinion or be upset!

But now that you mentioned culture, "British culture" would be an interesting topic.

Diversity is a must...but I prefer to respect some different people from a distance. ;)....just as I do wolves and some other predators that want to hurt them.

The thing is though, the reason the UK has Muslim immigrants is because of the Empire. You can't just pretend the past never happened. We didn't mind diversity when we ruled over it - now we don't we're stuck with the consequences. And not all of those are bad.

'British Culture' would be an interesting topic. Lots of it in the past, not much nowadays - as you'd expect from a declining former Imperial power.

I didn't do anything, and I'm not responsible for my ancestors so far back I don't even know their names..

How many Americans are of UK heritage? Canadians, Australians? All go back to that era!

So in fact, the entire world is responsible for what's happening in the UK then?

it would have made things easier....treaties are so much more hassle than just conquering in the first place

just for the record id like to say that people here are very rarely british origin...at least in my area....here is mostly french and european ...plenty of ukrainians pole and italians...finn swede norway are common too...russian latvia chech those are just a few that come to mind quick

i can only think of a few people who would say UK as their origin...plenty of irish and scots though

So the Irish are not responsible? My heritage is Danish and Irish, as most scousers are.. where does that leave us?

Most of the south are french and Danish. There are few pure English here.. which makes what I say more real, we are not responsible for our ancestors.

No more than any other country in this world.

Isn't that why we don't blame the ancestors of these terrorist? Or maybe we should.

They did plenty conquering in the past

Muslim historian Firishta [full name Muhammad Qasim Hindu Shah, born in 1560 and died in 1620], the author of the Tarikh-i Firishta and the Gulshan-i Ibrahim, was the first to give an idea to the medieval bloodbath that was India during Muslim rule, when he declared that over 400 million Hindus got slaughtered during Muslim invasion and occupation of India. Survivors got enslaved and castrated. India’s population is said to have been around 600 million at the time of Muslim invasion. By the mid 1500’s the Hindu population was 200 million.

You've said in the past that you're interested in WWI and collect memorabilia, so perhaps you know the names of some of your ancestors from that period. My grandfather fought in it, so I certainly do.

400,000 Muslim troops from India fought alongside British and French soldiers in the trenches. An inconvenient truth perhaps, but not exactly outside living memory.
