lets be clear two wrongs do not make a right, i was i am totally against the war in iraq the boombing of syria and the continued support of Israel by the west. however what has happened in the last two is in no way justfied or right. i cant stand the people who suddenly start shouting what about the millions of muslims killed by the west, now is not the time to point fingers any killing of people is wrong. if your a truely englightened soul you will know this. however i do belive this will be used, by may and her crazys and other crazy to futher their control on people. she will use this to futher her desire to privatise the internet. so
Dear fellow Human Beings... It's been a very long time since I visited this site, and now I'm posting in response to these latest terror events in London. I will not preach hatred, I will not go about this in any racist fashion, I will simply state my own personal views in as calm a manner as I can. When such events occur, the police/security forces should immediately shoot dead the perpetrators, and their identities should NEVER be disclosed. Their bodies should be cremated and the ashes scattered without ceremony, and without markers as to their whereabouts, and the families denied knowledge of those whereabouts. This will iliminate the obvious glorification of 'martyrs' and deny them their 'Glory'. Their families and known associates should be immediately deported to their countries of origin OR that which is nearest to those countries of their ethnic origins. If, and when, these idiot ideologists who kill in the name of their imaginary deities, get the message that they and their like die in vain and for no reason other than mental deficiency, maybe we can all return to 'normal' life and go about our everyday business in peace and harmony with each other, and realise that no matter what our ethnic origins, or religious beliefs, we are still all of one race... the Human Race, and we all feel pain when our loved-ones die or are injured. Surely THESE are the most important issues to remember. THIS is surely a better ideal to have, and therefore the BEST ideology? I may or may not look back in here to see any responses, but please be assured that I for one will never cower before anyone who believes they have their own 'God-given right' to kill, injure, maim, or terrorise decent normal people. Good Luck to you all, and may you be able to live in peace and harmony with yourselves and your neighbours. Thank you for reading. Dennis. XXX
Depends on how far they go with it but I dont think she's entirely wrong Terrorist recruitment videos should at the very least be treated with the same severity as child pornography. There are entire police departments dedicated to finding out who is trading child pornography online without interfering with anyone's right to free speech, it could be done with terrorist recruitment videos too Not that I'm disagreeing with you, the government could very easily take it too far too
Corbyn said it in 2003, and he was right. https://twitter.com/ReclaimTheNews/status/871327466903699456
A concept that people find difficult to comprehend. Let's look at the facts. US-UK led forces invade Iraq, hundreds of thousands of civilians die. A lesser number of military get killed in the invasion. Casualties on both sides. Jihadist extremists go on suicide rampages in Europe, killing lots of innocent people and eventually get shot dead by the military police, if they haven't already blown themselves up. Casualties on both side. Thus, the statement is correct.
You could use the same argument to say British imperialism caused WWI, which led to WW2 And the vacuums created after WW2 eventually led to pretty much every major conflict after that
Its not about freedom of speech its about breaking encryption Politicians come out and say every so often , oh maybe we should control the internet without really knowing how it works, or they do know, but still throw it out there because they know most of their voters dont know or care how it works
You going to pretend you give a fuck about them? Go to a cheaper phone plan, give up take away coffees, you could easily save $100 a month, then send it to these muslim civilians, help them out a bit
Damnit I don't know what's happening everytime I try to edit that post it makes a new post instead of editing Anyways obviously I quoted the wrong post, I meant to quote the one about sending money to victims in the middle east. I need the address so I know where to send it!
I don't think it's a 'war on free speech'. If you put yourself in the Prime Minister's shoes, you have to find a way to implement a strategy to combat terrorism in London. If nothing else, more raids are to be expected, like everyone was saying in the wake of the Manchester atrocities, and like you say in your post, perhaps stringent regulation online. To me it doesn't even feel like too big a sacrifice to bear. I would be willing to allow police to go through my computer regularly in the name of a safer world. That's my opinion. As for raids of course their needs to be a line about when to raid and when to not raid, but I think ultimately that's up to the discretion of those tasked with protecting the people. I find these attacks completely disgusting. I feel helpless like there's nothing I can do to stop any of it. It's a sad sad shame. I feel like whatever they do to prevent these sorts of things is much better than doing nothing in the name of supposed tolerance.
Conservatives don't like to be told no.. and that's what WhatsApp did.. and good on them. But, the conservatives will use anyway they can to break something that's unbroken.. watch them punish WhatsApp!
Was actually making the subtle point that one can feel empathy for people without really having the option to save them. I can feel empathy for people in war torn countries but cant really throw money at them to help their situation I was being sarcastic in other words, because just like your shit I also get tired of VG's shit. But I uderstand subtlety and sarcasm is lost on you, morph girl.
no there was a former member here called morphgirl i suppose she suspects youre that same person under a new name maybe right maybe wrong
I find the Jarvis Cocker Sunday Service to be more stimulating at this time of the day. The man is certainly right on some levels though. We are fucked. Or, we are getting covertly fucked by a secret global network of ruthless, power drunk masons. The masters of prophets. Both scenarios are equally terrifying. There's never been a better time to buy a house on a hill.
I work at London Bridge, probably one or two streets over from where this happened, and regularly go for drinks after work in the pubs I saw on the news. Not that proximity makes me any sort of expert, or makes my grief or concern any more valid than anyone else's. What I will say is what bears repeating as much as possible: the police that you see on the news are not "extra" police, as politicians will now claim. They are drafted in from other areas and have had their 12-hour shifts extended to 16. Budget cuts and job axing have lead to a situation where the met, and police forces up and down the country, are stretched too thin to adequately respond to critical events like this. Do not accept the prattling of politicians who sell arms to the Saudis, knowing full well that they are funding and supplying ISIS, and then cut police budgets with no concern for public safety. This is not how you keep people safe.
Scroll down near the bottom of this link, footage of the cops storming one of the pubs. That would freak me out more than a guy walking in the pub with a machine gun shouting "Allah!". Of course it wouldn't, I exaggerate. Did they handle the situation well? You're best of just doing what the police say is my experience, especially the London Met. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-40147164
