When I see something especially beautiful or otherwise captivating, I want to own it, devour it, and possess it completely. Sometimes I can just buy the object in question, if it's a physical object, and sometimes it's enough to save the file, if it's a digital image, and then I can look at those things whenever I want. But if I sit down and sketch them, then it's a more personal, more engaging, and more complete experience of their beauty than simply looking at them. This wish to own beauty is the first thing that compels me to draw. All other reasons I have for drawing came about only after I started drawing.

Also, drawing my hands or other people in the room is great if I'm in a boring class or meeting.

Hmm...I draw to express feelings and emotion.

It's a sort of cathartic release.

With no desires at all for possession or ownership of the source beauty.

my wish is not so much to own or posses, as long as i have secure access to something, the formality of ownership is pointless,
but rather to create a fully emercive option, for anyone who wants to visit it, of how my mind feels things ought to be.

i'm not going to be a political dictator and tell everyone they have to live in my world,
far from it, they'd hate it and hate me if i did, if i could, and if i was them i would too,
but to invite them in, to the garden world in my mind,
a world, many parts of which, the most important parts of which,
everything exists to build, if enough people had some place where they could,
and they wanted to do so.

the internet, and art sites on the internet, makes it possible, for me, or anyone, to do so.
you know this is more value, a thousand times more value,
then owning, which is merely a static thing.

there is only its small measure of reward.
but creating, that reward goes on and on for ever.

or does, if you have something like this internet,
where we can all share it.

and speaking of sharing, if you want to see what i'm talking about,
here's a like to my page on fur affinity: http://www.furaffinity.net/user/themnax/

  6. Just get lost in drawings. Feelings expressed, don't know. Just feel good and draw good.
