I'm moving soon (this summer), and have some San Pedro cactus.

Here's what I asked in cacti delecti, and I'd like to get other gardeners' takes, too:

I'll be driving, and the trek is three days/two nights. They are inside the vehicle with climate control. Add a day to pack them, including pruning, checking for rot, etc.

What's the best way to move if they cannot have a seat to themselves? The pots are just too big. And they need repotting anyway.

I'd like to take them to bare root, wrap in newspaper, and place in a sturdy box.
The tallest is 18 inches, smallest is a pup. I have five.

    Advice?

id carefully remove from pot and wrap in newspaper, laying down in box with more paper...

if they was in the planters. they might get shook from stop and go ride and break..

ooh, I'd not pictured the cacti breaking from movement, but yes, they could! Thanks.
