I went up under the front of the truck this morning and noticed a few loose bits and bolts. Got my ratchet set and tightened them back up. Not sure if loosened from being new or ARB did dodgy job. :unsure:

 

They should have used locking nuts mate or at least a thread lock compound
I would take it back and put a few fucks amongst em

 

Oh the bullbar was all tight really, just odd things like the bush/bash/whack/Aufprallplatte under protection plate. Stuff you'd think they would have seen when they fitted the bar. Mind you maybe also my negligence in not checking before? Most likely. All good. All right now. I also see pre drilled holes for a skirting to make the underneath bar more complete like I said I wanted but I'm getting used to the look now and I like it.

I also in car park today saw the ARB plate on another truck and his nose and bar was exactly like mine so yeah, I've seen lots of designs now and I'm not fussed.

I'm still a little nervous about exploring I don't want to get stuck lol. Going to hit some easy trails with a friend I want someone with us and I can follow or I might also enroll in a beginner 4WD course? I think they might be good.

 

Chase Elliot won the truck race I watched. So happy for that kid.

It's funny, when I woke up today I said to myself the first thing on my mind was "ahh, Martinsville" and I got nervous. I looked on the weather and had Martinsville presaved. Clear and sunny. Going to be a race today. I was nervous.

I was nervous because as Jeff aged and his career wound down, Martinsville was the track I knew he'd always run well. So it became my favorite track I think I maybe watched that guy win... maybe 6 of his 8 wins there and of course, like I said, I planned my whole American vacation around that small track because again I knew if I was going to see him win in person then it was Martinsville I would see it, and 18 months ago I nailed that so perfectly and so fitting lol. I watched him win and now he's not racing and I don't think it's a track young Chase is going to dominate any time soon but yet when Martinsville race weekend surface twice a year, I still the flutterbies in my stomach and the anxiety, stress and nerves hit me quickly.

I will be watching a replay quite late as I have to travel into state and play pool.
