The Milo guide to winning a debate: 1) Accuse "leftists" of misusing data and/or taking statistics out of context 2) misuse data and/or take statistics out of context 3) When people point this out, accuse them of "Language policing" 4) claim that "leftists" are completely flummoxed by the fact that you are gay (they aren't) 5) Claim that the only reason you are being defeated in an open debate is because your opponent hasn't read a specific essay by one of your friends 6) run out of points? call women whores. You may not have won the debate, but you might still get the headline.
You forgot taunt your opponent until they lose their cool. I think Milo is the only person I've ever seen Larry Wilmore tell to "Shut the fuck up!" C/S, Rev J
His book finally came out. And it's a New York Times Bestseller He is suing Simon and Schuster for breaking their contract with him
Regardless of how anyone feels about him, you have to admit what happened at Berkley and what happened with his book deal were wrong.
Just a fun fact, Milo's book is number 5 on the NYT non fiction bestseller list this week while Al Franken's book is number 4.
I had no idea who this guy was. Some posts in here confirm why he is liked. The whole idea that he somehow upsets and embarrasses the left. Well I am on neither side but my impression is that he was very juvenile. I would be embarrassed to hold this man up as a representative of my community. He strikes me as the kind of guy who would ask a girl out then when she says no make himself feel better by putting her down. Deep down I see someone lacking in self esteem when he speaks. Which is why is he trying so hard to convince you that he is in control and so cool he does not even care what you say.
So he's gay and I missed that? Surprised to see a gay men so upset by women then. He has the aura of the nerd who is mad the cheerleader will not fuck him.
The thing is that I'm willing to bet that the majority of the people who bought the book didn't know who he was before they bought the book and just wanted to see what all of the hubub was about. The fact is that for all of his talk Milo likes to play the victim. C/S, Rev J
The way they banned his book and called it "hate speech" before anyone ever read it, only made it more popular in the counterculture. It enticed more people to buy it. Nicely done
"Following the Friday attack on a Christchurch, New Zealand mosque where a white nationalist gunman killed 49 people, Milo Yiannopoulos was denied a visa to enter Australia for an upcoming speaking tour. After being successfully deplatformed from Twitter by anti-fascist activists, Milo is currently on Instagram, where he is auctioning his possessions to pay off his debts, which total more than $2 million." - This Week in Fascism
Weird. The Guardian isn’t blocked here. (Not trying to stir the pot. That’s actually interesting). Just found out by clicking the link. I can’t even look at CBC or local news from my hometown.
The first time I heard Milo Yiannopoulos name said out loud, it was by Jordan Peterson. Now, whenever I read Milo's name, it is in Peterson's Canadian-accented voice.
