I'm an avid explorer of the avant-garde fringes of music and sound, and am curious as to what you believe to be amongst some of the weirdest and most bizarre tunes out there! I know a lot of stuff already, but my tastes are ever expanding, so please, give me some new awesome stuff to listen to! The weirder and more experimental, the better! Light or heavy, doesn't matter! (Bonus if it's dark and disturbing/scary, but doesn't have to be, weird and bizarre and crazy is the name of the game!)

Let's see what ya got! ^.^

A fan of all three and have been exploring their massive catalogs for years now. Excellent stuff!

English space-rock pioneers Hawkwind are pretty weird too.

Yep! And I'm actually seeing Sunn O))) (their counterpart/sucsessor in a way, I suppose. Definitely a tribute in the name and style) in Toronto in around a week and a half, wihch I'm super excited about.

And yep, familiar with Hawkwind too, they're genuine space rock to me. I know Floyd sometimes goes into that territory, but to me, nothing really captures the sound of space rock quite like Hawkwind. Wonderful sounds!

Familiar with The Captain and the Residents, big fan of both. Don't know the other two, thank you very much for the suggestion!

That was definitely an experience to listen to...very heavy and expansive and feeling, matched its covered art well. Enjoyed it a lot, thank you!

Excellent call on that one without a doubt! Been a fan of that album and band for a few years now. Their ridiculous nature appeals to me so much, not only are they just utterly off the wall, they're damn good at what they do. A must listen for sure! <3

Einsturzende Neubauten, they're a German industrial band. This is the opening track to Haus der Luge. Pretty out there.

You might like Ween. They used to be one of my favorite bands but I grew out of them, sort of.

With the duration, I wouldn't really consider this an interlude but I don't really know what they were going for here.

    Pink Floyd:

  18. Wire's pretty avant-garde I guess. One of my favorites. Chairs Missing album is very strange and kind of dark. Called the Pink Floyd of punk.
