Court today ruled against! I myself would like to know why? When the church allowed gay marriages within the church, why are hetrosexual couples ruled against having a civil partnership? https://www.theguardian.com/society/2017/feb/21/heterosexual-couples-should-not-be-allowed-civil-partnerships-court-rules
I think heterosexual couples should be able to have a civil partnership. It is discriminatory that they can't. I don't think the church of England does gay weddings, not yet anyway. Catholics absolutely don't. May be a few small churches that do though, I'm not sure.
I agree, I don't know! I wonder why the gay community is fighting to marry in church, but I do understand why hetrosexual couples want civil partnership, then again, isn't it just like being married in a register office? But I do think what's good for one etc!
Why do people want to get married at all? Just agree with each other that you both plan to be together for life, or until one or both of your gets bored having sex with the same person and has an affair. Oh that legal things right.
Now, I would just agree, what's mine is mine, yours, yours! If we make money while together, half in my account, half in yours, split the bills, if you don't work, you don't eat! Yeah, why get married...Oh the kids! You don't need that no more..No stigma!
Pay to get married in order to get let legal property and financial protection (for both parties) :book: ... before many Pay to get divorced :wall: Seems to me = "Go Pagan" - Handfasting ceremony and then draw up a decent last will and testament - in the words of Led Zepp "That's the way"
Lol yeah, Im pretty sure I wouldn't if I was gay and eager to marry. City hall works just fine. They can finally legally get married, be glad for Pete's sake! Also that big deal some people make of a reverend/preacher who refuses to marry homosexuals for personal spiritual reasons: so fucking what. Let the poor guy be and pick another one who doesn't have a problem with it (they're out there).
I am actually surprised that they are not able to and have it recognised. They should be able to, in my opinion.
I think everyone has the right to do as they please, I just wonder why in church? The church still has an old fashioned look on things, and as the original reason for a marriage in church was for one man, one woman, so to have a name for their children.. why? I just wonder if it's because they want ago with those that disagree..But really, it's not what marriage in church was about! http://www.uscatholic.org/church/2012/10/what-history-marriage
I agree wolf, but personally, if someone gave me the crap churches have given gay people, I would be giving them the middle finger, and opening a venue for gay marriage with an alter etc! Not fighting them, and giving them the time of day!
