I noticed this odd coincidence when I was still a kid. But have you ever looked at the flag of the state of California? It seems to have many communist elements on it.

First of all, there is a bear on it. In case you don't know, the bear is the symbol of Russia. It is an obscure reference now. But, again, when I was a kid, Russia was still a communist nation. Anyways, let's move on.

There is also a red star in the upper corner of the flag. Pretty blatant communist reference, I should think. And there is a red stripe on the bottom too. And read what it says on the flag. "California Republic". California isn't a republic! It's a state. What on earth could that mean?

Anyways, I will attach a picture of the California flag, so you can all decide for yourselves. But altogether, it still seems kinda creepy, I think.

Maybe I can help I live in California. The bear is a grizzly and state animal also a symbol of strenght the star symbolizes sovereignty the color red I think wzs virtue the white background symbolizes purity. Also the star was a tribute to the lone star of Texas. The flag was made by Lincoln's wife's nephew and was known as the bear revolt flag. It was flown over a captured out post during aa protest of Mexican rule. Proclaiming it an independent republic. Thats why it says California republic. Also America is not a democracy. It's a democratic republic. That's why in the pledge of allegiance it says "and to the republic for which it stands" a democracy is for the rights of the majority so nobody cares about minorities. "Majority rules" a republic is for the rights of the individual above all. A democratic republic means they let voting based on majority rules but make laws that are for personal freedoms rather than laws that benifit the biggest group.

i think the bear species predates marx, lennin or any of them.

pretty much anything can be called communist,

pretty much everything at one time or another.

every religion, including christianity, is socialist.

that's at the very root of all of them.

so that's one of those things like that universe,

that if people have a problem with,

they'll just have to deal with it.

my nation is the imagination

this is the dawning of the age of zootopia

and thank god i'm not quite human

CA wasn't a commie state when the flag was designed but it sure seems appropriate now.

Natives don't seem to see it that way but it's all they know. Moving here from a free state was depressing. This state is fucked.

First raised two years before the publication of the communist manifesto, let alone the Russian revolution, let alone the formation of the soviet union. So....no.

A lot of Americans don't have an understanding of what Communism truly is. So it's just anything they don't like. You seem like one of those people.

Flags can't be political as they are non living entities.

Just a piece of cloth...no brain,

But they are political symbolism.

Yes they can be, not always, but sometimes, but they can't be communist.
