The storm troopers were at the entrance to the cinema, that was cool!

Highlight of the movie for me was seeing a mouse walk down the red carpet like he was looking for his seat. Saw a guy a couple rows ahead of me pointing then whisper to his girl. She looked up and down the carpet but. When she started looking he was long gone near the crane neck seats.

I was hoping to see this in 3D but looks like it might be 2D or Netflix now.

Well then, now you don't have to see it.

How much do you know about it already?

Saw it yesterday. It was surprisingly good! :)

I thought the aliens and the effects were very well done.

It also tends to tie in various element from the other star wars movies in a way that helps you see the bigger picture.
That's probably because this one is a prequel to the whole series and explains the events leading up to the first pic.

I'm NOT a big fan of the Star Wars franchise, but I think this was one of the more watchable for me.
The last one was awful, imo.
And I don't do 3D anymore, a bit easier on the eyes.

BTW, I forgot my regular glasses and had to wear my prescription sunglasses thru the whole movie, which wasn't a problem, except for the darkest scenes.

Ever notice how the cheapest Sci-fi shows (like on Scifi channel) are mostly shot in the dark?
Saves a lot of money on sets, lighting, props and personnel to deal with all that.

I've been wondering where they shot the scenes with the palm trees...if anyone knows.

We went and saw this last week and had no real clue as to the story. My initial thought was it was meant to be a stand alone story, not apart of anything but mid way we realized it was a midquel, a prequel to the mid way saga. So with that being out in the open and another Death Star, what's that.. 8 movies now about the same old stuff. I'll leave it at that.

Well first off. Yeah all 8 movies are about the Skywalker family. That might be because that is what star wars is about.

If you are implying they are all about the death star. Episodes 1-3 were not. And episode 5 was not.
This one wasn't so much about the death star but more so about the plans for it.

So more or less, 8 movies about the same stuff, is what you're trying to tell me?

Yeah I'm just disappointed. I wanted to see new ideas, new concepts, new everything and we got a remake, again, two in a row.
