    Article from May 2017.

America is in the middle of its deadliest drug crisis. Trump wants to gut the agency that can help.
Trump’s proposal would cut funding to the Office of National Drug Control Policy by about 95 percent.
Updated by German Lopez May 5, 2017, 1:45pm EDT

    https://www.vox.com/2017/5/5/15558400/trump-ondcp-drug-czar-cut

    From the article:

"The cuts, however, would eliminate a lot of staffing at ONDCP, cutting the equivalent of about 33 full-time employees, Dan Diamond reported for Politico. With around 70 employees today, this would cut nearly half of staff.

The cuts would also eliminate some federal anti-drug grants, including the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program. Trump’s budget office argues that the grants are “duplicative of other efforts across the Federal government and supplant State and local responsibilities.” But law enforcement officials argue that these types of programs are needed to coordinate different local, state, and federal efforts in the fight against drugs.

But the cuts would also eliminate efforts like the Drug-Free Communities Support Program. Despite bipartisan support, this has funded education programs, such as DARE, that have a bad record of preventing drug use — with various studies showing that DARE in particular failed to significantly reduce drug use among participants.

That’s to say that there probably is some room to trim or refocus ONDCP’s budget. But overall, the cuts would devastate the office’s efforts to coordinate anti-drug policies.

“These drastic proposed cuts are frankly heartbreaking, and if carried out, would cause us to lose many good people who contribute greatly to ONDCP's mission and core activities,” Richard Baum, ONDCP acting director, told staff in an email.

The White House didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment about the cuts."

The first indictment in the Trump Russian scandal is on it's way according to leaked sources. Some think the leak may have come from the defense team.
No one knows yet who will be indicted.
The White House is focusing on Hillary Clinton as a diversion as reports are many are considering leaving the White House team.

Trump has been quiet today at his Virginia golf club. Guess he'll be out golfing again as a way to help out Puerto Rico.

Meanwhile they let Keith Olberman get away with this:

Thanks for pointing that out, I'm unfamiliar with Twitter, I didn't know everyone is allowed to insult each other. According to reports, which aren't official, his account was terminated because of he was inciting others, not for his insults:

It's difficult to tell the difference between Stone, Trump, and Scaramucci.

    quote:

"He called Lemon an “ignorant lying covksucker” (sic), and a “dull witted arrogant partyboi,” adding: “You fake news you dumb piece of shit.” He said Lemon should be “humiliated, mocked and punished.” Stone also said that Tapper should be “severely punished.”

He called Navarro a “dumbfuck,” and attacked Kristol for his appearance, saying he was “packing on the pounds.”"

Trump is doing another weekend twitter rant on what he perceives to be counter-scandals related to uranium and the dossier about him. His latest rant sounds desperate.

Ahead of possible Mueller indictments, Donald Trump is attacking Hillary Clinton
“There is so much GUILT by Democrats/Clinton.”

    Trump invoked another conspiracy:

"All of this "Russia" talk right when the Republicans are making their big push for historic Tax Cuts & Reform. Is this coincidental? NOT!"

Here’s who could receive Mueller’s indictment
With an indictment expected on Monday, here are some of the figures that could be charged in the Trump-Russia probe
    Charlie May10.28.2017•6:12 PM

    https://www.salon.com/2017/10/28/heres-who-could-receive-muellers-indictment/

    excerpt:

""We're moving away from a political fight, where everyone can see it the way they want, and into ... a legal process — where there are rules of evidence, facts are established. ... Bob Mueller is known to be a pretty careful prosecutor," MSNBC's Ari Melber said, according to Axios.

Matt Miller, a former Obama Justice Department Official told Axios, "I think it means this will be a rolling investigation. Rather than conduct his entire investigation and then wrap things up with indictments and possibly a report at the end, he is doing it in stages, the way the Justice Department might attack a drug cartel or a mafia family.""

Trump's Pardoning Powers Could Be Limited After Mueller's First Indictment
By Jason Silverstein On 10/29/17 at 4:28 PM

    http://www.newsweek.com/trump-pardon-powers-limit-mueller-indictment-695780

    From the article:

"Beyond this, presidents only have the power to pardon federal offenses — but state offenses are out of their jurisdiction.

Trump has no power to quash state charges, which can only be pardoned by state officials. So if a state attorney general takes up any of the federal charges from Mueller — for instance, charges related to Trump business practices in New York — Trump’s troubles would continue.

Reports have circulated for months that Trump has been wondering about the reach of his pardoning powers, and even asked about the possibility of a self-pardon, which is also not barred by the Constitution.

Trump has also been publicly boasting about his abilities to pardon. He wrote in a July tweet that “ all agree the U.S. President has the complete power to pardon,” showing a mistaken understanding of how far his powers can go."

On Twitter, plenty of people insight abuse against other people all the time. Celebrities who've incited their fans to troll and harass other celebrities who they're having rivalries and spats against. Black Lives Matter activists have openly incited violence and death to police. Twitter does nothing. Double Standard.

I'm still waiting for Twitter to grow some real cojones and ban the Donald himself. They were talking about it about a year ago. Go big or go home. 9 out of 10 Americans don't even know who Rodger Stone is.

Manafort was living a lavish lifestyle on concealed money according to the investigation.

Manafort, Gates Charged With Conspiracy in Mueller Investigation
by Pete Williams and Adam Edelman
    Oct 30 2017, 11:03 am ET

    http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/357792-former-trump-campaign-adviser-pleads-guilty-to-lying-to-fbi

    From the article:

"Manafort laundered more than $18 million, which the indictment says he concealed from the federal government.

From 2008 to 2014, Manafort wired $12 million to vendors for personal items, including $5.4 million on home improvements in the Hamptons, $934,350 to an antique rug store in Virginia, $520,440 to a clothing store in Beverley Hills and $655,500 for landscaping in New York, according to the indictment.

He also spent millions more on homes: $1.5 million on Soho condo; $3 million on a Brooklyn brownstone and $1.9 million on a Virginia house.

The indictment says that Manafort used his offshore accounts to directly wire payments for his personal expenses, which means he went around filing taxes for that income."

Trump faces another legal roadblock. A federal judge has partially blocked his ban on transgender military personnel.

Trump had stated during his campaign that he would support gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people. He changed his mind while in office and announced a significant change in military policy using, of all things, a tweet. He apparently hadn't yet discussed the change with any military officials.

Trump's ban for the military has similarities to his first travel ban which was implemented without forethought. It has the about-face change of mind similar to Trump's wind vane behavior on DACA. During the election campaign Trump said he would end DACA. While in office he changed his mind and told DACA people that they could rest easy only to later change his mind once again and end DACA without warning.

Federal court blocks Trump's ban on transgender people in the military
    by W.J. HenniganContact Reporter
    October 30, 2017

    http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-trump-transgender-20171030-story.html

    From the article:

"Kollar-Kotelly disagreed with that claim in her ruling.

“These arguments, while perhaps compelling in the abstract, wither away under scrutiny,” she said. “The memorandum unequivocally directs the military to prohibit indefinitely the accession of transgender individuals and to authorize their discharge. This decision has already been made. These directives must be executed by a date certain, and there is no reason to believe that they will not be executed.“

She added that the transgender troops who sued the administration over the change were likely to win their lawsuit.

“The court finds that a number of factors—including the sheer breadth of the exclusion ordered by the directives, the unusual circumstances surrounding the president’s announcement of them, the fact that the reasons given for them do not appear to be supported by any facts, and the recent rejection of those reasons by the military itself — strongly suggest that plaintiffs’ Fifth Amendment claim is meritorious,” she wrote."

Trump promised during the campaign that he would hire the best people, not sordid ones. He originally referred to Papandopoulos as an oil and energy consultant and an excellent guy. Now he says Papandopoulos is a proven liar and refers to him as a volunteer. Manafort and Gates didn't sound like the best people either when Trump hired them, considering their excess baggage at the time.

How Did Any of These Guys Get Hired by Trump?
Whatever else Monday’s indictments revealed, they confirm that the president exercised extraordinarily poor judgment in staffing his campaign.
    David A. Graham Oct 30, 2017

    https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2017/10/how-did-these-guys-get-hired/544358/

    From the article:

"The indictments of Manafort and Gates and the guilty plea from Papadopoulos appear to be only the very start of Mueller’s investigation. One potential target is Michael Flynn, the former national-security adviser fired for lying to the vice president about his contacts with the then-Russian ambassador. It’s astounding that Flynn, too, was a central figure in the Trump campaign and even more that he was named national-security adviser. He, too, has filed a retroactive FARA disclosure, having worked on behalf of the Turkish government while working for the Trump campaign, right up to his appointment. He was also engaged in a peculiar plan to build nuclear reactors in the Middle East, and reportedly did not disclose a trip to and payment from Russia for a celebration of RT, the Kremlin-funded propaganda channel.

Trump’s faulty hiring process has continued to bedevil him, with frequent turnover in the adminstration—he’s on his second national-security adviser, third communications director, second press secretary, second chief of staff, and has seen several other positions clear out as well."

Some language in the indictment indicates Papadopolous may have been wearing a wire. The plot thickens.

"Well, history's history…it's inconceivable to me that you would take what we think now and apply it back then. I think it's just very, very dangerous. I think it shows you just how much of a lack of appreciation of history and what history is." – John Kelly

So Kelly says we cannot judge people from history because their views were ‘different’ back then and different from what we think now.

That is bull shit, for starters how far back do we go - 70 years - I mean the Nazis who exploited, raped and murder the Jews, shouldn’t be judge, Kelly seems to be apply it to US slavery so some 150 ago saying we should not judge the exploitation, rape and murder of black people by slave owners - he then points to some 500 years ago and the exploitation, rape and murder of the Taino by the Spanish in Hispaniola.

It has to be remembered that the Nazis were not everyone many at the time they existed didn’t like their views (especially their victims), Supporters of slavery were not everyone many at the time they existed didn’t like their views (especially the victims) and even what was done by the conquistadors was thought of as un-Christion by many.

The next thing is that such incidents in history for those with any intelligence are seen as both a warning and a lesson, about how some will act if they are allowed to.

If you don’t stop bad people from gaining power bad things can happen.

And forgiving the racists of the past to not upset the racist of today is not what I’d call a good thing
