Carfentanil is being mixed into heroin to increase the high users experience. It's said to be 100 times more powerful than fentanyl, the drug linked to the singer Prince's fatal overdose. "And so what makes it so dangerous is that it only takes a flake, literally half a grain of sand, to be fatal to a human being,” says Kilcrease. “And it can be absorbed or it can be inhaled." She holds up a vial containing 2 or 3 tiny flakes of detergent. They're so small you have to look closely to see them. "This is enough of an amount equivalent to carfentanil to tranquilize a 2,000 pound elephant,” she says. “This is also enough to be dangerous, and potentially deadly, to 2,000 people." http://www.fox5atlanta.com/health/fox-medical-team/205416635-story
I have no problem with this and encourage more junkie overdoses. Junkies are scum as human beings who are extremely tough to reform. The more overdoses the better.
I see how it would allow them to cut the heroin way down and add a tiny bit or Carfentanil to increase their profits. If it's 100 times as potent as Fentanyl, an amount of Carfentanil in the vial shown above would be enough for what, a kilo of heavily cut heroin? Just guessing. But how would you acquire carfentanil?
My understanding is that they import it from China without much hassle by the kilogram; probably to Mexico or wherever the stuff is first manufactured. It kills people though. Not good stuff. Lost a friend to heroin. RIP Ryan.
