We've got about 40 minutes to go here, south of Atlanta.

I just broke out the wine.

The neighbors have been sporadically shooting fireworks since dark.

I found out something cool about Emma. I don't think she would be gun shy at all. She didn't mind the fireworks on the street, bursting over our heads.

Fireworks, well I suppose it could be worse, there’s a growing tradition in some neighborhoods in Chicago, New York, Oakland, and in South Central LA of bringing in the New Year with a skyward spray of gunfire, Every New Year there’s at least one or two people that die from falling bullets.

I forgot to tell you...my sister wants to move to suburban Atlanta. That is where she wants to plant her flag. She's lived in Maine, New York, and Florida already. Guess she thinks the Atlanta area has something better to offer? I don't know. When I asked her about it, she didn't really know either, but that's where she wants to end up.

 

Tell her to move to the north side...like Alpharetta.
