Why don't over the top fanatical animal lovers hate meat-eating animals for failing to be vegetarians? It's a natural behavior for them, just like it is for us. The food chain is not only natural, it's fundamental to life on earth. Actually, we're among VERY FEW mammal species on earth who ever show any form of kindness or concern for other species. Dogs are good at this, but humans taught them to do it. Ever looked closely at a modern, state of the art zoo operation? It's like luxury retirement condo units for animals who wouldn't hesitate to rip your face off. I'm not saying we always get it right, dealing with animals. I'm just presenting the other side of the issue. We've caused a lot of species to go extinct, but we're also the only species that has ever taken action to prevent an extinction. So, we're not hopeless losers.
