Love It......Years Ago A Friend Owned A 2CV.......Can't See His Doing All Those Tricks...... But Then Again......Maybe His Driving Was Not In The Style Of "JB"..... Cheers Glen.
Ha-ha. completely wrecking 4 cars in 2 miles is not most peoples idea of a Sunday afternoon drive. Roger Moore liked doing his own stunts, but they were in the habit of going wrong. However with the money that the films took at the box office, Cubby Broccoli let him get away with murder. The funniest one was where he dived onto the ground while being perused by a helicopter gunship and in true James Bond fashion. a string of bullets hit the sand missing him by inches. Needless to say, their were no bullets and the explosions were from a string of detonators just below the surface of the sand. Their was a safety line of twigs marked out, but he decided to dive too close, misjudged it and ended up with a hole blown in his pants, about 2 inches from where the trademark love scene at the end of the film would have been a bit difficult to film to look realistic.. Sometimes I really miss my days in the film industry. LOL.
Gone in 60 Seconds, the original 1974 version. Starring Eleanor, a 1973 Ford Mustang Mach One with a 351 Cobra-Jet (Q Code) small block. The best car chase in movie history. Period. You'll want to make sure you have a bit of free time set aside when you watch it. It goes on for some time.
The absolute best part about movies, old and new. period. Wish there were more movies like Fast and the furious.
