Hello, I had a few questions regarding the identity of a drug which I feel was dangerous. I am arguing with a friend about this because I think it was dangerous and he does not -

    1. Amount - We split 1/2 a tab.

    2. Taste - It didn't have a discernible taste.

    3. Experience - Mentally = groggy... crappy... sort of like I couldn't panic or get excited and I was unaware of what was around me, extremely disoriented, and all the joints and veins in my body felt like they were filled with needles. I was terribly painful. Any positive experience was horribly overshadowed by incredible pain all over that lasted 12 hours.

    4. Additional Factor - I had taken some prescription drugs the night before that usually just make me sleep a lot. I like taking them when drinking and it had been over 24 hours since. They were probably still in my system a bit.

    My evaluation -

I have taken lots of tabs before... sometimes 7 in a night... and I had never had an experience like that. I am trying to tell this kid that this shit could have killed me... a half of a tab and I was in that much pain???? There might be some factor with the prescriptions but I can't imagine trying it again totally detoxed. That was scary and painful.

Regarding taste - I don't see why people say that bitterness = bad acid. I had gotten some from a reputable source, and it was slightly bitter, but made my tongue a tiny bit numb... this was the liquid itself,... not on blotter paper. Those experiences were pretty much what I would expect... like, if I was feeling panicky, it would get bad, but I could control it by accepting it. I had never felt sharp pain in my veins before.

The other guy that took the half said it made his legs really tight, but otherwise nothing bad about it. He told me to do research before accusing him of having bad stuff, citing that it had no taste.

So I just wanted to ask people.

    Thanks!

Which meds are you taking? Some prescription drugs can interact badly with hallucinogens.

first off, what you had wasn't LSD or very, very, very "dirty" LSD in that it wasn't washed sufficiently/properly and could have been loaded contaminants from the synthesis.
What you describe sounds like ergot poisoning/vaso-constriction and is a very common side effect of ergot derivatives as well as the lysergamides present in morning glory and Hawaiian baby wood rose seeds.
Tightness in the extremities is a classic symptom of vaso-constriction. In severe cases cellular death and gangrene can occur due to loss of circulation.

I suspect it was more than likley N-Bome.

Real pure LSD crystal has a slight metallic and "tingly" flavor to it.
Liquid that uses ethanol as the solvent will have a slight bitter taste and tingly/numb the tongue, but that is from the alcohol, not LSD.
Liquid that uses di-ionized water will be tasteless.

I would advise against taking that same batch again.

I've had 89 trips since 1980. In all that time the only "bad" acid I ever had didn't do a thing. I've never had a "bad trip" though I have had some good trips get ruined by external events. When the OP mentioned joint pain I too thought of ergotamine. But I recall in Memphis back in the late 80s someone was making capsules that were a combination of morning glory seed "extract" and some kind of OTC cold medicine. That too caused odd joint pain as I learned from a couple who had taken it. I don't take anything that people stuff into 000 capsules at the kitchen table. FOOK that!

It wasn't nbome as that has a numbing bitter taste.

It could have been some lysergamide derivative, similar to LSD that interacted negatively with the prescription meds.

Because nearly, if not all, non-LSD or technically non-lysergamide chemicals which can fit on blotter are bitter. This doesn't necessarily mean that every bitter tab is not LSD but it raises a red flag.

Now many of these bitter non-LSD chems can still be powerful, enjoyable psychedelic experiences, I talked to a person recently who really likes 25i-nbome but none of these other chems exhibit the same safety profile and have the available research backing them as LSD.

the numbness is another red flag ... its not LSD. who knows what you took, never heard of anything causing the effects you describe.
