According to who? It seemingly originates from the Hindus, because there has been no other archeological evidence predating 1700 BCE that could be linked with any other culture.

Who do you say originated the concept?

I say that there is no definitive origin, until archeology can prove so.

There's mentions of the chakras in the Vedas which go back to 1700 BC. They are fundamental to many types of Hindu and later Buddhist yogas. So far as I'm aware, there' no reference to them coming from any other tradition.

That would be correct, but the earth is a lot older, and knowledge must be acquired and retained before becoming text. I don't believe archeology has been exhausted near enough to determine origin without it being speculative.

to me, it is extremely unfortunate that they do.
and it is true of the many who live in countries that are dominated by one or another of those.

but even this earth is a larger world then that. and it and us, are no more then one grain of sand on one beach of one ocean.

there are many many other beliefs. some nearly as populated, yet far more logical.
there are even a few places where non-aramaic religions still dominate.

that one family of religions, actually one religion with successive itterations, has gained its dominance by appealing to the human ego.

one thing i wish more people would understand and keep in mind, is that whatever god, gods, higher powers, what have you, there might be, if there are,
aren't dictated by what people try to tell each other they know about them.

There are 2 distinct meanings to faith.

    faith |feɪθ|
    noun [ mass noun ]
1 complete trust or confidence in someone or something: this restores one's faith in politicians.
2 strong belief in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual conviction rather than proof. bereaved people who have shown supreme faith.

I get what you're saying, and agree, but all it demands is reclarification. I personally quite like the word faith, it's a useful word. It's wispy and describes the roots of perception accurately. No matter how solid the evidence, the context to which the evidence is applied or understood from is still, well.. a leap of faith. Everything is based on some degree of unrecognised assumptions.

    Only human.

The Spaniards did not improve the new world, they merely discovered it.
