Suffering enables us to grow and become more compassionate. It is an inevitable part of life on a planet that cannot be perfect and safe for everyone at all times. Without a degree of chaos nothing would have evolved to the point where we are now. Without catastrophe there would be no evolution. The dinosaurs would still be on the Earth. God,if you will,is immanently powerful, but cannot create a World such as without suffering because then we would not be human such as we are. Of course we should alleviate suffering as much as possible but not to the point of being afraid to take chances. We have
pain receptors in our body which can cause intense suffering when our body is damaged or sick, but without such a mechanism we would not be aware of damage to our bodies and would perish. Evil, the dark shadowy forces, greed and malice define humanity just as much as our instinct for compassion, mercy and benevolence. A mature and examined life should learn to accept what is,in order to change for the better what will be.

From what I understand. Satan was one of the Cherubs standing guard at the Garden of Eden. A wrong desire developed in his heart and he acted on it. Jealousy wanting humans to worship him and not God.

and there is no record of any cherubim being in the garden of eden except after the fall of man.  at which point cherubim were placed guarding the tree of life.

Look into any eyes you find by you, you can see clear through to another day. I know it's been seen before through other eyes on other days while going home --
What do you want me to do, to do for you to see you through? It's all a dream we dreamed
one afternoon long ago.

This is a very important topic with almost everyone. People reason, if there is a God, why does he allow suffering?
To understand this, we have to understand that a vital issue has been raised.
To find out why God allows suffering, we need to think back to the time when suffering began. When Satan led Adam and Eve into disobeying God Jehovah , an important question was raised. Satan did not call into question Jehovah’s power. Even Satan knows that there is no limit to Jehovah’s power. Rather, Satan questioned Jehovah’s right to rule. By calling God a liar who withholds good from his subjects, Satan charged that Jehovah is a bad ruler. Satan implied that mankind would be better off without God’s rulership. This was an attack on Jehovah’s sovereignty, his right to rule.
