Yes, I do wear them. I make sure they have a fabric strap so there isn't much discomfort between the toes and it isn't too rigid on top of the foot. Proper fit for me is no more than 1/2 inch in front of the toes and no more than 1/2 inch behind the heels.
I wear flip flops when I go food shopping just to give the "feet are gross" people a break. What I would really like is for people to learn to cover there coughs and sneezes by using their elbow instead of their hands instead of worrying about my feet.
I have a pair that live in the backseat of the car. That way I don't have to worry about having shoes when I head to walmart in the summer. Put them on before I head in an kick them off on the way back.
I've taken to wearing minimal Xero shoes (the DIY kit you make yourself - http://xeroshoes.co.uk/xero-shoes-kit.html ) and was able to wear these throughout the winter and beyond to work. Work are cool with me wearing them, although they think I'm completely bonkers. They're the next best thing to be being barefoot and socially acceptable at work.
when not at work or working out where I have to wear shoes and places I can't go barefoot and then flip flops it is. they are comfortable and quickly shucked.
Enjoy wearing flip flops. But have to be supportive (like Keens). Don't care too much for the cheap flip flops.
are you including Crocs when you say flip-flops - everyone wears Crocs - why wouldn't they (around the house and yard and on short trips to the post office)classic flip -flops though expose the feet to all manner of injury including the OW OW OW of stubbed toesies
When I need to visit location when the shoes wear is mandatory, I use flip flops. Flip flops don't damage your feet (inward-turned toes), meaning you can keep your natural splayed toes. Wearing flip flops don't provide any benefits, it is not even close to walk barefoot, there is no textile sensations of any kind. It's hard to find a flip flops with thin and flexible sole.
