    yup, you put the thread through the little wire loop and then push the loop through the needle eye, pull thread thru, remove metal gizmo.

    When I was young and plastic army men were everywhere id go through mums sewing kit for small yellow colored thread and pretend they were hay barrels scattered across the landscape. :)

    Yeah, do you know if it's possible to buy needle threaders on their own? or where would be my best bet

    On the wall with other notions. Ask a clerk.
    I usually see them in three packs, and it's a great idea. I buy nine at a time as I'm a bit rough on them, and I have needles with small eyes.
