So yeah I got some wax and it wasn't that smooth so I just threw it on a lightbulb and let it kinda boil. Now it's in the freezer any words of wisdom? Tips?
well I would have done it in a glass container, not a silicone one. @unfocused, he's trying to remove any residual solvents left from over from the extraction process.
thats a good idea, though i would use a larger surface to purge. I usually put mine in a glass plate over a glass bowl, in a pot with simmering water.
Well, unless you have a vacuum pump that's the best you're gonna get! The impurities left behind when making BHO are nasty... Lately what intrigues me is the closed loop recovery systems, and of course CO2 extractions which have no nasty chemicals, and they say leave 100% resin behind as the CO2 readily evaporates at room temperature, whereas the hydrocarbon butane nastiness needs help. Has anyone here tried making dry sift so pure it bubbles when you smoke it?
