it does not seem to me, that any super power government, the u.s. included but not alone, has the slightest wish to live and a peaceful and democratic world.

why else favor and support only those other governments which basically prostitute themselves, supporting the dominant world's economic interests, ahead of their environments and even the lives of their citizens?

why send them military arms, instead of classrooms and infrastructure?

why even manufacture arms at all?

hah, I think all governments are really far from thinking about citizens' wealth, but some of them know how to look like thinkig about it. The main goal is money and power always

Live and let live types are not who ends up running governments. Those who seek $$$ and power usually get it, locally or nationally with the help of those who already have it. That is if they stick with the program of separating the masses from their hard-earned wealth, such as it is. Greed and lack of empathy comes naturally to those for whom those character flaws serve as their modis operandi. Life, other than the lives of their own kind mean nothing.

this is why NO existing ideology is adiquite, and it is considerably dubious that any ideology could solve the problem at all. democracy is optional. it is not an opposite of tyranny. but peace is something, that all it takes, is to stop starting wars. every war that has ever been, has always been optional to at least one party to it, and frequently to all of them.

the only reason people think peace is utopian, is because someone comes along and believes they have something to gain by having people think that.

some of the poorest places are the most free. powerful nations would deserve less shame, if they didn't insist on screwing them up.
