christianity has become large, because it appeals to the human ego.
i don't know that a god or god like being 'created' me. something may have. or my true self may have come into existence by some other completely unknown means entirely.

i know i existed before my parents of happenstance of this life, procreated the life form that what i am currently occupies.
(had they not, i would simply have been born in a body supplied by some other set of parents. possibly in a very different looking life form on some other world.)
possibly a very long and many lifetimes time before its embryo came to be.

nor did my true self come to occupy that lump of flesh until very shortly before it acquired independent life. (no more then a day or two, or a little less then a week at most.
and had that embrio been aborted even after it had become a life, rather then a potential one, that which is the essential me, would still have then eventually been born to some other sapient host)

and for those who wish to debate the gender of a god, i find it totally illogical for a supreme being to have a gender, any gender.
why? because if you split into two or more genders, any one of them alone is going to be incomplete, and how can you have supreme and incomplete at the same time?

there is also no wrong religion, any more then there is any one right one. but there is a very great evil wrong to proclaim that only one can be.
or to ignore the universal similarities of religious beliefs, while making of superficial differences an excuse for hatred and conflict.

as for every name invented for beings which may or may not exist as objects of worship, every name is a human invention.
just as ever book ever written on this planet is likewise.

as for where christianity's christ may have came from, he came from between his mother's legs, like any other mammalian life form on this planet.
what he BECAME, may have been a channel for that which you call a god. and only toward the end of his life at that.
