Adult 50 plus Commune Idea

I want to ask anyone who is serious about establishing this Hippy Commune if they insist on standing for the national anthem? I see Trump and his Republican followers insist on people standing during sporting events. Such sporting evens are not government functions. Consequently, I don't understand Republican demands and don't wish to allow them on our commune. I think people who join this commune should do so because they love others and wish the best of happiness for them. Republicans who control banks and mortgage companies have made it clear to me that they don't wish to fund such a socialist living experiment. Since we aren't going to get government assistance why should we allow right wing extremists influence our peaceful commune? By the way, if you are a progressive wood chopper woman of similar age we would like to hear from you. Our commune is made up of very smart Hippy guys who are experts at just about anything!

 

Here's an idea for the commune... No watching sporting events, ever.

 

With three or four healthy wood chopper women who needs to watch TV? I want to see the big Mee Mees and the Victoria's Secret outfits!

One thing that has to change from the good ol' hippie days is respecting women. You talk about watching the chicks as if it was an OK thing, but in this millennium they'll sling the axe at you and walk out. Maybe what you want is a grumpy old hippie guys' commune.

On IC.org the buy in amounts are too high. I favor lesser amounts so Hippies on limited income could afford it. Purchasing the property should take into consideration Hippies are a low income lot. Mortgage should be PITI, as I have said in the past...years ago. Utilities should be divided equally. Board of Directors should be the ones who bought into it. Bylaws by democratic vote. I have decent credit and some cash to put down. We could go for a USDA Rural Development loan with no money down, with just three or four of us who have income and decent credit. It's not rocket science. We just need to meet so we could determine we do want to live together. I know that I don't want to live in Indiana. Land in Northern Arizona is cheap, but water has to be hauled in. Klamath Falls area has mild winters and some cheap land. Let's find a spot where a brown guy like me won't get shot or lynched by the MAGA HAT people.

 

Snowtigger I don't remember but the Rural Development program might have rules about a group of people buying a place as an official commune. They might consider it a none single family residence. If three or four people declare to be a family, then it might be OK for the loan rules. If two people do it then I don't see issues concerning the definition of a single residence. I owned a home before but it has been long enough for me to qualify as a first time home buyer. My X got my last house in the divorce. FHA has .035 % cash down programs, if the place is not out far enough to fall under USDA rules. Once we get the place we could build the great room around the fireplace and invite all the Estonian wood chopper women. I'm going to tune my guitar, and remember how to play Crosby Stills and Nash songs again.

 

I am now thinking of flying the United Nations flag and the Hippy Woodstock Blue Peace Sign flag at our commune. I really don't want the American flag or the Marine Corps flags up because they represent Hate groups like the Republicans and the KKK. The Marines are riddled by KKK members among their numbers and they steal oil from Muslims. The Old Glory represents environmental damage, worker oppression, and genocide of natives. I would rather have flags which represent peace among all humans. Now I would like the opinions of others, that is others who wish to join our Aging Hippy Commune and would be voting members.
