Just recently, in Early Texas, armed citizen Vic Stacy shot and stopped a deranged man who had just murdered two neighbors and was firing at police with a rifle. Stacy made a very long shot with his revolver, three times as far as the perpetrator was from the police officer, who had an AR-15 type rifle.

There are several documented cases where armed citizens have stopped mass attacks by gunmen. Let me list a few: The Pearl, Mississippi school shooting was stopped by the vice principal Joel Myrick with a Colt .45, The Appalachian School shooting was stopped by two students with handguns. Both of the above incidents were stopped by the armed citizens threatening the shooter without firing.

The mass church shooting in Colorado Springs was stopped by the shooter being shot by a church member with a CCW permit.

I think we will be winning our right to bear arms back in the near future.

We had one gun massacre in Aus.
They put more restrictions on guns.
    Since then, none.

since the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan there have been no more terror attacks...i guess killing all those innocent middle easterners worked.

Yep, because Boston wasn't a terrorist attack?

Also, it seems like you're trying to point out that correlation isn't causation which is true; but are you honestly saying that the restrictions on guns in Australia is unrelated to the ceasing of gun massacres in Aus? If so how would you attribute it.

It's been like 2 months. It's not like America has a major massacre every fucking 2 months.

The attack I'm talking about was in the 90s. I have no idea what you're thinking happened 2 months ago.

Oh, well then you are completely wrong. We have had tons of massacres since the 90s.

I feel like you've missed the part where I'm speaking in reference to Australia.

Any time now you're going to make some kind of point related to guns right? Or are you just babbling?

    Unsure.

Are you building up to something here or are we just going to incoherently mumble about unrelated things some more?

It only makes since that gunshot deaths would be down but that dosnt mean less people are being murdered.

You must be estatic i actuall mentioned the word gun.

    Somewhat.

I'm not talking about murders though. I'm talking about gun massacres.

Australia? I'm sorry I didn't recognize your derailment. I thought we were talking about the Americas, since that is what the thread is about.

I am talking about mass gun attacks. So are you as it happens.

I am making a point that gun control actually seems to work better at preventing gun massacres that arming everyone.

But until you posted, it was mass gun attacks in the states.

It's fine. I was just letting you know that I had no idea you had derailed us.

Well, now you know. I was comparing a different Strategy that worked effectively. Hopefully you can understand how my point is related to your first post. If not I can try to explain it more clearly.
