They can all be brought back to life in virtual reality. Somebody invented a way of easily converting 2D films into 3D and fans in the future may be able to play on stage with Jimi Hendrix or Jerry Garcia if they want. Using AI they can even provide realistic responses and you could go hang out with the band backstage.
you may or may not like the new classic rock stars but it will happen. soundgarden smashing pumpkins foo fighters dave matthews muse phish the cranberries the red hot chili peppers no doubt rem radiohead oasis green day blink 182 blur weezer matchbox 20 our lady peace everclear marcy playground the gin blossoms nine inch nails garbage the offspring i could go on and on. there are plenty of bands to replace the people we are losing, a great quote i like is "teams are filled with players that replaced people that are now in the hall of fame" sure you can say none of these bands are as good as the worst one listed and then i will say its because you are close minded,
^ i agree with some of those But come on, we havent heard our lady peace, garbage, marcy playground, the gin blossoms, and a few others since the 90s. They're barely past one hit wonder status
i saw lou reed mentioned, best i can find he had one hit and it only placed 16th (walk on the wildside) i wont argue that some of my posts were weak but no weaker than others posted on this thread.
Funny, I thought this post was supposed to be a tribute to the rock stars who have passed on. I didn't think it would inspire any controversy.
My bad i wasnt trying to stir up a great debate, its just..gin blossoms lol. Sharon Jones passed yesterday
No bad. It's a free speech website. Their was no rules posted for the thread. Conversation is good. Almost as good as a gin blossoms song.
Berry, Richard and Lewis were all founding fathers of rock and roll. That is what we am talking about here, I would think,.
Turns out a number of the founding fathers are still alive http://www.wa-wd.com/list.asp?list=Mrrpioneer
