Alright so let me explain to you what happened..

I hit up my guy to get me some Percs. All he could get were 10mgs so I told him to get me 5. We then continued our normal routine. I met up with him at a gas station in one town to give him the $40. I followed him a few miles to another town where I waited at a gas station and he drove down the road to the strip club where he was meeting his guy to get them. Usually he's back in 5-10 minutes but a half hour went by and nothing. One time he was waiting on his guy for 30-45 minutes so I didn't think much of it. I gave him a call, didn't pick up. Waited a little bit then texted him "hey man whatsup?" Didn't get anything back. About an hour goes by and I started to think either he got jacked or fucked up. I had to leave because I had to pick up my girlfriend so I decided to drive through the club parking lot and didn't see his car. Shit. I left and called it a loss. Few hours later I get a text from my buddy saying an undercover cop must have been following his guy cause he pulled up while they were doing the thing. He ate them real quick but I guess he still got an obstruction charge for doing that. His guy on the other hand was riding dirty as fuck and is probably in a lot of shit. My buddy had to go down to the the cop shop where they held him for a while and waited for his girl to pick him up. They took his phone in the other room and he said they probably looked through his calls and texts.

My texts didn't say "percs" or anything like that. The only sketchy thing I texted was "can you get me any 30s?" and he responded "nope all I can get are 10s". I'm more worried that the cops saw I texted and called him when this was all going down. He warned me not to say anything too crazy on the phone for the next few weeks. Should I be at all worried that the cops will be tracking me or following me?

Big question is would the cops even look through his phone? I mean they just put his keys and wallet and phone and stuff into a box and took it in another room, do they usually read through all the stuff on phones? And they didn't say anything to him about his phone.

the cops look through phones on a traffic stop..the definitely looked through buddy's phone in a drug buy.....

do you have proof you werent ripped by an opiates addict?

your only choice is to shut off the phone for 30 days..take out the battery too.if its a smart phone just sell it and get another

Everyone is saying yes I see, but I have to disagree. The cops may know you are a user, but that is not what they want. They are looking to go up the chain, you are down it. They will not be doing anything with you. But your number has been compromised. They may be able to get the warrant needed to tap your phone, but I doubt they will want to spend man hours on a user. But it doesn't take allot to get a new number.

What happened was they took the dealers and gave them the standard good cop bad cop routine. One cop says "your in allot of trouble, but I can help, if you help me" the other just goes on about how rough prison will be all in the hopes of your guy giving up his guy. You never came up, don't worry.

I had a similar thing happen to a dealer of mine but it was for Molly. But in my case I think I may have just been ripped off. Gave him a ride to see his guy, he says be right back, but he never comes. I get a text an hour later saying his guy had been busted and had set up this buy for him while cops waited in the back room. The text claimed that they were unable to take his phone so this is why his friend has it now.

Seems like BS now but at the time I thought oh shit and left hoping no cops would see me.

I got a text a few weeks later from my guy saying he needed to get some fronts and get back on his feet but he would make it right. I meet him a few days later and find out he sold me sugar. I did not check till the day I was planning to use since he was legit in the past but I should have known something was up when he handed me a black bag. I text and he claims he did not know but will make it right again. Never heard from again, $200 down the drain.

But I say I got ripped off because of the odd story and this guy was the type where $200 was a little sale, so I think he may have just got tired of me. He had said to me a few times something like "you have to make this worth my time". He only knew me because I was friends with a girl he wanted to bang, she was allowed to spend a little money I think, others were not.

Ah how spoiled dealers get, you pick them up and act as their taxi so they can do 10 minutes work and make a nice profit, better then a legit job would earn you in 10 minutes and it's still not worth their time.

But anyway I never changed my number in the near future after that and used it to buy drugs for a while without any trouble.

Best thing is teal a phone from a known straight person

same with computers if your into illegal porn whatever

that way someone else get tagged

my ex is an anarchist activist and ppl would bring her computers from
govt offices, even cops, thers a part inside they mimic so all transmissions go to the fall guy ... govenment employee/cop

I know an ex dealer who got a job as internet security for RCMP
he gets stuff which puts regular ppl in trouble.

'up the chain not down' was exactly what i was thinking

and by the time they send detective to your house, has already cost like >$2K

Now you've thought it, you should do something (otherwise u'll kick urself)....and i don't live in UK either, so not too sure how nazi germany it is there....

but overall, my 2c = unlikely cost/ effort for recreational drug user.

That u were ripped off like anakin^ said = more realistic imho

chances are you were ripped off. if the cops do have your number though, you can probably pay a small fee to change your phone number.

honestly, cops aren't really interested in finding the people who buy drugs, they're looking for the people who sell drugs. and also, i don't think they're allowed to look through phones, and if they do, they aren't allowed to use that information. i could be wrong, i suppose.

I think generally they only track if its genuinely worth their while. Or its an easy catch for something.

I think the only reason they'd be survaillencing you would be if they were hurting for a bust and wanted to get who you are buying from. But it is possible that they'd target you in order to try and flip you.....turn you into an informer or to bust your dealers.

And changing your number wouldn't accomplish anything if you have a contract with a phone company. They gain access to your account, not your number. The pay as you go phones are the only way to remain anonymous.

In years past they wouldn't be able to use the info from the phones, but with the recent laws they can pretty much use anything they want. Including what you post on the Internet.

They don't have the time to follow anybody that simply bought a pill. I know we have turned into a Police State, but they only have so many resources. You are 100% SAFE IMO.
