this is one i co-wrote with my friend Robert Miller. thanks Bob

THE MAN THAT I AM MET THE BOY THAT I WAS
AND THE TWO OF THEM TALKED TOGETHER.
AND NOW i REGRET THAT THEY EVER MET,
THEY COULDNT AGREE ON THE WEATHER.
THEY COULDNT AGREE ON THE TIME OF DAY,
THEY COULDNT AGREE ON THE NIGHT.IN FACT THERE WASNT
ONE THING THAT ONE COULD SAY
THAT THE OTHER WOULD SAY WAS RIGHT.
"IM A BIRD, IM A PLANE" THE LITTLE BOY SAID,
"WATCH ME AS i FLY"
THE OLD MAN FROWNED, SPIT ON THE GROUND
AND SAID "NOW BOY, THATS A LIE"
THE LITTLE BOY STOOD THERE IN FEAR AND AWE
AND CRIED "but you know its true,
you were right there and I know that you saw
how far and how fast that I flew"

SO, THUS HE HEARD THAT HE WASNT A BIRD
AND THEY PROVED THAT HE WASNT A PLANE
AND ALTHOUGH HE TRIED AS WE ALL HAVE TRIED
THAT LITTLE BOY NEVER FLEW AGAIN.
RIGHT FROM THE START, THEY STOOD APART,
THEY NEVER SAW EYE TO EYE
THE LITTLE BOY WITH INNOCENT JOY
AND THE OLD MAN WHO COULDNT FLY.

SO YOU OLD MEN HOLD ON TO THE JOY
THAT IF YOU LOOK YOU WILL FIND ALL AROUND YOU
FOR IT TAKES ONLY ONE COLD HARD FACT
TO THROW A DREAM OFF TRACK
AND DISTROY THAT LITTLE BOY
WHO FOUND YOU.

shameless thanks for the big fluffy pillows and the hooka. ah, a woman can add so much to a room with her touch.
and yes that is sitar music in the background. it got a bit crazy here last night
with the room full of bongos so i wanted to mellow the space out a bit. thanks for the help.

 

hey miss roamy, your goats showed up last night looking for you. but they hung out for a bit
and became the life of the party too bad ya missed that. Lol

 

WELL, HERES MY truth, its 5:10 a m here in california and i just woke up again after a restless night and a heavy heart.
now dont get me wrong, im nobody special but i keep waking up with this
thought in my heart. so although i was not planing on posting here for a
while im compelled to share this poem with you all because there must be someone out there that needs to hear this. in fact i may be that somemeone
so here it is.

THE DIRTY BOULEVARD​

DOWN ON THE DIRTY BOULEVARD
WHERE REAL LIFE MEETS THE ROAD
WHEN YOUR SPIRITUALITY COLLIDES WITH REALITY
AS YOU SORT AMOUNG THE STORIES YOUVE BEEN TOLD.
IF IT SEEMS THAT EVERYONES A RIVAL IN THIS STRUGGLE FOR SURVIVAL
ITS BECAUSE YOUVE LOST WHAT LITTLE FAITH YOU HAD.
REMEMBER THAT THERES NO ONE HERE WHO CAN CHEAT YOU,
NO ONE WHO CAN BEAT YOU OR DEFEAT YOU
LIKE YOUR OWN THOUGHTS OF YOURSELF
FEELING SO BAD.

Yes I feel this way sometimes...Just got a bullying manipulative asshole out of my life.Even though i quite liked him when he was sober,there's no way I will tolerate this behavior at my age.

TRUE HEARTED FRIENDS
SHAME ON HE WHO HESITATES OR LINGERS
AND LETS GOOD PEOPLE THEY MEET
JUST SLIP THROUGH THEIR FINGERS.
WHEN I WAS YOUNG, I WAS BASHFUL AND SHY
BUT NOW THAT IM OLDER, IM WILLING TO TRY
HOLDING ON TO GOOD PEOPLE
THAT I HAPPEN TO MEET
FOR WITHOUT OTHER PEOPLE OUR LIVES ARENT COMPLETE.
BUT WE LIVE IN A TIME WHEN THINGS MOVE SO FAST
AND I DONT WANT TO MISS OUT ON FRIENDSHIPS
LIKE I HAVE IN THE PAST.
BUT HOW DO YOU SAY, "I THINK WE CAN BE FRIENDS"
WHEN NO ONE KNOWS HOW OR WHY A FRIENDSHIP BEGINS.
SO IM WILLING TO HOLD OUT MY HAND
WHEN I MEET A TRUE HEARTED PERSON
BE IT WOMAN OR MAN.
IM ABLE TO LOOK THEM RIGHT IN THEIRE EYES
AND SENCE WHO THEY ARE DISPITE THEIRE DISCISE.
TRUE HEARTED FRIENDSHIPS, ILL NOT SETTLE FOR LESS
BECAUSE I SPEAK FROM HAVING HAD ALL THE REST.​

Yes.Thankfully I have a handful of good friends,even if I don't see them as often as I'd like to...That's why I come on the forums...I'm a very textual person.

Eagles fly high.
But when I die.

I'll have wings,
Twice as long as my six foot height.

Twenty-four feet across and light glowing white.
Beams from my face, head, and body.

All, and in God.
All of the universes.

And Why?
Not because God Loves Me.
But.
All because I truly Love God.
And because he feel that and he knows that.

And I will fly forever.

 

if not now, when?

Outside the pull of gravity
beyond the spectral veil
within our careful reasoning
we search to no avail

for the constant in the chaos
our place within the void
are we following destiny
that our steps cannot avoid

in a spiral never ending
are we drawn towards the source
spinning at the mercy
of an unrelenting force

so as we hang below the heavans
and we hover over hell
let our hearts become gods instrument
may we learn to play it well

for at the point of total darkness
and the lights devine devide
a man can let his shadow stret
and land on either side

and balanced on the razors edge
the moment must reveal
naked in the face of time
our race within the wheel

so as we stare into the emptyness of space
and fall beneath the weight
we wonder, "can we make it better
or could it be too late?"

TIME AND AGE



IF I COULD GO BACK IN TIME AND AGE
TO RELIVE MY LIFE PAGE BY PAGE.
ID NOT ALTER A DEED NOR CHANGE THE SCRIPTS
OF ANY WORDS THAT PASSED MY LIPS.
ID HAVE THE SAME PROBLEMS I HAD WHILE IN SCHOOL
ID MAKE THOSE SAME STATEMENTS THAT MADE ME THE FOOL.
ID HAVE THE SAME RUN-INS IVE HAD WITH THE LAW
YES, EVEN THOSE ONES I KNOW WERE A FALL.
ID LIE TO MY MOTHER, ID STEAL FROM A FRIEND
ID HAVE NASTY THOUGHTS THOUGH I KNOW THERE A SIN.
ID SMOKE THAT FIRST JOINT, ID POP THAT FIRST PILL
ID DO ALL THOSE DRUGS THAT MADE ME SO ILL.
BUT WHY NOT GO BACK AND DO EVERYTHING RIGHT?
INSTEAD OF GETTING MY ASS KICKED, AVOID THE FIGHT.
WHY NOT START OVER BEING HONEST AND GOOD?
FOR IVE LEARNED IN THE LONG-RUN
THAT I SHOULD AND I COULD.
WHATS TAKEN MY PAST AND MADE IT ALL RIGHT?
WHATS TAKEN THE DARKNESS AND FILLED IT WITH LIGHT?
IVE LEARNED THEDE WERE LESSONS, ALL PART OF A PLAN
AND TO CHANGE THEM WOULD CHANGE ME AND WHO I NOW AM.
THOUGH THE LESSONS WERE PAINFUL AND SO FULL OF STRIFE
THEY GAVE ME THE GUIDLINES FOR LIVING MY LIFE.
AND IVE LEARNED THERES A GOD THAT I CAN CALL "FRIEND"
WHO DOESNT KEEP TRACK OF THE TIMES THAT IVE SINNED.
A GOD WHO WILL JUDGE ME AT THE END OF LIFES GAME
ON NOT WHO IVE BEEN,
BUT ON WHO I BECAME.

You know how people ask you how youre doing and it means nothing because they dont expect a responce other than "FINE"

HOW YA DOIN?

YOU ASK ME HOW IM DOIN
AND I SAY "IM DOIN FINE"
BUT THE TRUTH BE KNOWN I FEEL SO ALONE
THAT ITS ALL I CAN DO TO KEEP FROM CRYING
I LOST MY JOB, GOT INTO A FIGHT WITH BOB
\MY DOG RAN OFF, IVE GOT THIS TERRIBLE COUGH
MY WOMANS TALKIN ABOUT LEAVING
MY HAIRLINES RECEEDING
I GOT EIGHTY SIXED FROM THE BAR
THEY REPOSSESSED MY CAR
I GUESS MY LIFES REALLY STARTING TO SUCK
