The thread where you can post the last book you read. You can provide a link to the book or a picture of the book or just a title of the book.

Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness

Shadow of Night looks like a fun read!! I just finished Dracula a little less than a month or so back, so I'm into the Vampire thing right now. I recommend you check out Dracula. Maelstrom, if you are interested in Vampire novels.

A Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass is the book I read last

This book was life changing, I didn't know what it was really like for the slaves before reading this autobiography, truly a life changing read :afro:

If you do plan on reading Shadow of Night, you will first have to read the book that began it all. A Discovery of Witches. It is certainly an interesting series, and I am eagerly awaiting the third book.

'Jade Eye - the life of a Chinese Peasant boy', basically a autoboigraphy of someone totally sucked in to the cult of Mao.

Would rather recommend the previous book I read - 'The Vintners Luck' by Elizabeth Knox - about a French vineyard owner who meets a fallen angel once a year on the same date and they slowly begin to fall in love...very sexy. :p

I just finished both The Heroin Diaries by Nikki Sixx and the Tattoo Chronicles by KatVonD.

My toilet book is Kraken; a scientific book about squid. Yeah, I have a book just for the bathroom.

THE MAN WHO QUIT MONEY. This is an awesome book about Daniel Suelo: He has been living without money for twelve years. I read it twice (that's how good it is).

P.S. Mark Sundeen is the author...

    No Angel by Jay Dobyns

Pretty lame.. I'm not the biggest fan of law enforcement, so it would be extremely difficult to like a book written by a fed..

ooooh I watched a doco on him! I seem to remember the case didn't even end up going to court because Dobyns may have done a few rather naughty things himself while undercover???

Heroin Diaries, sounds interesting. Did you like it? I dig Irvine Welsh a lot.

I just finished reading the Harry Potter series for the second time. I get way too obsessed with Harry Potter - last night I dreamed I had to defeat Voldemort .

Last book I read was 50 Shades Of Grey, what a smut that was, but it was fun smut. She tried to milk it by adding on two more books. Now everything is a series. What ever happened to just one good book? (I am currently starting a new series of books, classic case of kettle calling pot black)
