I did this back in the mid-80's for the better part of a year, living out of my '84 Chevette with a tent. I carried a bicycle on the rear rack for in-town travel and spent a lot of time on the beach at a local lake. Nice time. Hardest part back then was dealing with everyone else's expectations instead of enjoying the life I wanted. I'm looking forward to doing this again with better preparations, and now I could care less what others, particularly familly, have to say about it.

I did it but voluntarily as well. Could do it again if I had to but I probably won't have to again. It was because I wanted leave my X hubby in Ontario and move to BC. Was a bit tough at first but I got an old motorhome and some stuff given to me and it was all good.
