Everyone who likes White Rabbit should check out Grace with The Great Society. It's the band she was with before Jefferson Airplane and where the White Rabbit came from.

It's a longer much more psych piece.

 

White Rabbit is my favorite song, my favorite Grace song, and the first song I remember hearing on the raido.

SURREALiSTIC PILLOW album sounds really good in Mono actually.

 

I believe in those days, they recorded in vinyl which were mono, but sounded great just the same.

 

Does "Today" count. Love that song. I was lucky enough to see the original Airplane (minus Spencer Dryden) back in 87 or 88. They played in Milwaukeee at the Riverside Theater which was their first live show together since 1972 or so. Airplane played for a hour or so, then Jorma and Jack did 45 minutes of Hot Tuna stuff and then Airplane came back out for another hour or so. None of that garbage 80's Starship crap was played either.
I remember that summer or fall the BIG rumor was that the Airplane was going to tour with the Grateful Dead but it never became a reality and once their tour was over they never played again as a whole to the best of my knowledge.

 

should of been on the Woodstock film. was not.
