I listened to Men at Work's Down Under song about 3 times gearing up for this post. Thanks to the infusion of Australian culture into the US in the 80s I feel I can safely say I know Glen.

I'm sure when he's not posting he's wrestling with alligators with a bowie knife while cooking some shrimp on the barbie. If I'm wrong I don't want to know I'm wrong.

He has wisdom and benevolence well beyond his years... or they're right on with his years and he's old. whatever I like his insight.

His Posting Style Is Different Than Most.

I Just Found Out That Posting Every Word With A Capital Letter Is Tedious

kudos to glen for sticking with that formula i couldn't do it. yeah i'm not capitalizing any letters in these sentences i've reached my quota for the night.

He's a bit of a screwball though. I'm a bit confused about his sexuality, and all I know about him is that he has dreadlocks. With all that and the culture I got in the 80s I assume he looks like this.

I'm sure you all saw this coming... not like that poor squirrel crossing the road 3 months ago. Poor bastard didn't see anything coming. *sigh*

When I came back earlier last year the forum landscape had changed.


Never has an old Porky Pig cartoon by Bob Clampett echoed my sentiments so precisely. My head was filled with more questions than answers.

Who was this orison posing as squirrel?

Why in the hell did I decide to come back here?

It was a little rocky getting my forum legs back, but in no time I was typing at 5 words a minute again. Most of the familiar faces were gone replaced by scary new ones. Did I want to make new acquaintances? Start all over again? I was about to log off and never come back, but a cute little Slappy Squirrel avatar caught my eye. Surely this person knows what is up. Not a pot crazed, cross dressing, shell shocked hippie like I assumed everyone else was.

We laughed. We cried. We posted memes.

By the time I realized Orison was THE pot crazed, cross dressing, shell shocked hippie I feared all along it didn't matter. I'd already befriended him and I was too lazy to remove him from my friends list.

All for the better. I chose Orison to be my number 1 pick because he's consistently awesome every night I'm logged on. I believe I'm not the only who feels this way because his visitor messages never go more than two days without someone telling him how awesome he is or posting something stupid about squirrels. In fact I think his appeal lies solely with those damn squirrels...
