While the effort to nullify the U.S. Constitution began with the Progressive movement in the 19th century, the means by which it has been accomplished were provided in 1913 with passage of the 16th and 17th amendments, along with the Federal Reserve Act, and subsequent appointments to the Supreme Court of activist Justices who have incessantly reinterpreted the U.S. Constitution in order to achieve the agenda of the political parties under which they were appointed, both of which have the common goal of increasing the power of the Federal government over the States and the people.

We have been moving from being a Constitutional Republic to becoming a Socialist Democracy by both the Democrat and the Republican parties.

The Constitution lives on in the hearts and souls of American Patriots. We will get it back one day, even if it means 'replacing' the powers that be.

July 4th, 2014- that's the date set. If the government fails to recognize human rights and fail to stop violating the Constitution; A Revolution at that point, may be overdue.

    It started long before that.

That said, I think the Constitution needs to be reworked. The times and nation it was created for doesn't exist anymore and, as such, I don't be live it serves the nation as well as it used to.

@ Nr. 8 Sig , Incorrect. The Constitution should not be re-worked to succumb to the wants of the PC. This basic issue is the fundamental difference between the intellect of Ron Paul vs. that of Joe Biden. Whether it be a musket or an AK ; the 2nd Amendment protects all others.

The Constitution needs to be followed, it is very simple and straightforward, easy even for children to understand without some bought out SCJ telling us what this "actually" means. For example the US Military is supposed to protect our "borders" and not be off gallavanting half a world away fighting some elusive boogy men while thousands of illegals pour across our borders every day. Just enforce the Constitution and this country would once again be paradise on earth.

Maybe it would be a good idea, and in the best interests of all, to declare the U.S. Constitution null and void, and begin anew. Some of the 50 States could reclaim their individual sovereignty, and others could combine and create whatever form of government they wished. But then the Liberal governed States would probably begin waging war on the non-Liberal governed States in order to acquire their needs and wants. At least that would provide a good reason to bring all our troops home to protect our own borders and citizens.

Thank you Mr. Coyote. I do think states rights is pretty much what the forefathers had in mind. The formation of the union was strictly for border enforcement. The most glaring gubmint failure.
