My favorite movie is The Godfather: Part II. I know lots of people LOVE the Godfather, but for me, it is much deeper than that. I feel such empathy for the protagonist, Michael Corleone as he deals with his inflated ego and tries, unsuccessfully, to form meaningful human relationships.

That is why Part II is my favorite. Part I focused more on the actual criminal aspect of the Mafia, which is interesting, but to me, the thing that makes the Godfather the greatest is the incredible struggle presented in Michael Corleone. I have never seen such a raw human issue presented so truthfully in film.

Are my three favorite movies. Don't misunderstand, there is a best. I can recite the entire movie Henry V(and the play, and tell you Act and Scene). I even did this once, when put on Versed before surgery when I was twelve.

The Name of the Rose is an honorable mention.

1) Are you kidding me? I like so many movies and I have watched so many and so many times I have thought they were my favourite and then something else came along. Might as well ask me what my favourite life experience was, I'm not dead yet, ask me later.

If that rant was made into a movie that would be no1.

Kudos to anyone who made a list by the way. How on Earth can you decide what your best movie is when you are not dead yet and you have changed your mind so many times, in your life unless you are 7 it's not even funny! You get my point, if you don't make a movie about it and write me.
