:banghead: if it weren't for that albany story you guys shared on HF, I would be seriously contemplating a riot specifically targeting corrupt policemen

Also, I LOVE humans and don't want any humans to get hurt, but I think I might love dogs more...and seeing/hearing that injured dog in the video brought me near to tears. I seriously don't get how these drivers are getting away without any citations or tickets. I am appalled!

Occupy D.C. to release video evidence, on Tuesday, that one driver hit protesters in 2 separate incidents. It's reported that the driver, who was not cited, has 10 traffic violations prior to this.

Occupy DC targets Congressional Democrats

More than 100 protesters from Occupy DC gathered Thursday night in front of a Northwest Washington office building where Democrats were holding a campaign fundraiser, banging on drums and shouting their frustration with the Democratic Party and President Obama's reliance on donations from Wall Street.

The group left the Occupy camp at McPherson Square around 5:30 p.m. and marched about two blocks to the building at 727 15 St. NW, where the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee was charging from $5,000 to $75,000 for a seat at the fundraising dinner.

According to the DCCC, the holiday party was to benefit 15 Democratic House members seeking reelection, including Reps. Gabrielle Giffords of Arizona and Gerry Connolly of Virginia.

At least one protester hoisted a sign from a third-story balcony in the same building listed as the location of the fund raiser.

"We are your constituents, not your checkbook," one man shouted as District police rushed to the scene to guard the entrance to the building. "We hope your meal was worth the price of Democracy."
He added, "the Democrats are not going to save us, we are going to have to save ourselves."

Others chanted, "Hope and change, that's a lie, listen to Occupy."
Travis McArthur, 26, of Shaw, said the protesters don't care "if you are a Democrat, Republican or something else."
"If you are taking money donations at $75,000 a pop, there is no way that will not impact your vote in Congress in a way that will benefit Wall Street, " McArthur said.
DCCC officials at the scene declined comment.

The demonstrators then marched to the W Hotel, where they said another party fund-raiser was being held. There, about two dozen demonstrators sat in front of a door. There was a brief scuffle with police, but the incident quickly stablized. The demonstrators continued to sit in.

I'm not sure the green light is a necessary qualifier for the rest of that statement.

Occupy DC Arrests: Structure In McPherson Square Prompts Police Action

U.S. Park Police arrested members of the Occupy DC protest group on Sunday, after a wooden structure was erected in McPherson Square, the downtown park that has been home to the Occupy Wall Street-inspired encampment since Oct 1.

According to The Washington Post, police gave protesters a one-hour deadline to dismantle the structure and started making arrests shortly before noon.

Six people were arrested by 1 p.m. , according to WTOP, which also reports:

The protesters built the "structure-like tent" in about four hours Saturday night. Some of them were calling it a "barn raising."

Several occupiers said the group spent $1,400 on the wood. The structure was designed by an architect and built with help of donated time from someone from Annapolis.
At the current time, reports indicate that the whole encampment in McPherson Square is not being evicted , just those at the wooden structure.

Things are getting tense at McPherson Square park. Arrests have been made through the afternoon as police have demanded that protesters dismantle the structure.

Latest report is cops are in the barn with pepper spray.

It's dark. Protesters hope someone will come by and put up some light so that their livestream can witness what takes place tonight.
