Julian Lennon

What do you think of him?
I love his music, love the lyrics, and he's not trying to live off his dad's fame.

 

His music is a'ight. Nothing special... commercial, but reasonably non-offensive.

If he really wasn't trying to gain from his dads fame, don't you think it would have been a good idea to change his name? at least for the stage. That's what famous actors offspring tend to do when they decide to work in the industry and make a name for them selves.

I haven't heard anything about Julian in a long time. I was kind of hoping he just quietly faded away after discovering for himself how crass and disgusting the music industry really is...

I thought it was ok, but they sure over-played it when it came out.
It sounded more like it should have been a George Harrison song or maybe even Ringo.

 

He's like his dad,very talented.

I don't know. Its enjoyable. Doesn't quite live up to his dad though.

 

He's probably a better person than his father was! John Lennon, in my opinion, was a conceited hypocrite! Yes! He was a working class hero who lived in a White hotel room, with a White piano and zoomed around in a White Roller with Yoko on his arm! He was also a Bully, who had a thing about the Disabled! Just watch him pulling his 'cripple' face when he gets off the aeroplane in that famous newsreel! Imagine... My a..e!

 

I like his dad better

 

Julian is a talented artist, both musically and more recently with photography. His 1998 album 'Photograph Smile' really is one of my favourite albums. There is talk of another album soon. I hope so. I am done with comparisons to his father. I understand that is hard not to do, but I just take his output for what it is on its own.

 

Life is strange enough for us common folk, but to live under the shadow of a legend like John Lennon and try to make sense of how to navigate his own course through all of this can never have been easy. My salute to you Mr. Lennon and may your life be filled with love, satisfaction, and good health.

 

I dont think he has any choice but to live in the shadow of his father
it must be difficult for him, and people would naturaly flock to see him be successful but i dont think he is extraordinarily talented, he doesnt have to be though because his family is extraordinarily rich
