Here's what i'm reading. 1.The autobiography of Abbie Hoffman(aka Soon to be a major motion picture) 2.How the republicans stole christmas and Toxic talk by Bill press 3.Gangs of New york by Herburt astbury How about you guys?
Just finished Bartleby & Co by Enrique Vila-Matas and highly recommend it for those of you interested in writers who turned their backs on writing. A philisophical enquiry that's easy to read.
I'm sorta in between books, as I just completed The Man Whose Teeth Were All Exactly Alike by Philip K Dick and had my mind blown like all of his 'normal' fiction. I don't have a clue what I could possibly follow it up with. But I'm reading Man's Search for Ultimate Meaning, based on a psychologist's recommendation, and it's alright. And as far as comics, I'm almost done with the KnightSaga of the Batman family comics, and I'm hoping my library has the next volume of Kabuki by David Mack
Pihkal and a book of Lovecraft stories. Interesting synergy. Also Scientific American and Discover magizines.
Dude, is that what the movie was based on? I love that movie and I even asked the librarian if it was based on a book, he said no.
He has a few gems, but his work gets so redundant. He's not one of those authors who you read his whole catalog IMO.
Yup.That's how i first heard about it.Scorcesse's film is GREAT! I mostly agree, but I really don't think Fight Club is one of those gems (even though I love Jim Uhl's screen adaptation) Invisible Monsters and Rant are so good it's hard to believe he wrote them.
Memories of John Lennon by Yoko Ono and others...nice reading. Maybe because it´s a new stuff for me...I saw Lennon for years as those charismatic guy from the Beatles, not a single musician.
The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, Michael Chabon and Feed Your Pets Right, Merion Nestle and Maldon Nestheim
