VA Medical Centers have been strongly encouraged to develop working relationships with the court system and local law enforcement and must now provide outreach to justice-involved Veterans in the communities they serve. Each VA medical center has been asked to designate a facility-based Veterans’ Justice Outreach Specialist, responsible for direct outreach, assessment, and case management for justice-involved Veterans in local courts and jails, and liaison with local justice system partners
My grandfather was wounded in combat during WW2. He was 30% disabled from that. From his discharge in June of 1945 until 2004 he received NOTHING from the VA for his impairment. No money. No medical. Nothing. 49 fucking years they let him down. Then myself. I was in the army, and I received a medical discharge. Messed up my knees. I am supposed to have "something" from the VA to fix my knees. Now, 20 fucking years later, NOTHING. Still. NOTHING. Fuck the VA.
This is why I don't get it. Why should I support my military? And why does its own soldiers support it? Anyone who signs up for this is obviously and knowingly signing up for an unjust war for oil, and everyone knows the military doesn't care for its own, thus all the homeless vets. they're cannon fodder. Yes, the US Military is so great.... just look how it treats its vets.... and the vets should be a warning to everyone who wants to 'serve'.
I agree. Fuck the military! I appreciate the soldiers for fighting for our country but I don't agree with a War for Oil which is why I won't sign up to join. Another reason I don't wish to sign up is because I've known people who came back messed up in the head because of the shit they've seen go down while serving in the military. How could anybody want this for themselves? The reason I think the soldiers support the military so much is because they are brainwashed too. It is sad about all of the homeless vetrans. I feel like vetrans shouldn't have to be homeless...They fought for the country we all love and yet some people won't give them a little spare change from their pockets once in a while. Its a mad, sad world we live in.
