There seams to be no Nebraska thread so I think I will start one. Hi! I am Moose From Nebraska! Very near Omaha. Visit my homepage to find out more about me
Hey. I tried starting a nebraska thread a while back and it quickly died. Sad really, not too meny hippies out here.
I’ve driven though Nebraska several times and most of it was a blurrr with one exception; a brief stop at the Ashfall fossil beds state historic park, and the only reason we stopped there was because I’m a fan of NOVA on PBS and I remember seeing the fossil beds highlighted on one of their shows. Hotwater
I think a lot of cross country travelers have the same impression of Nebraska. Driving along the Platte river for 200 miles is mind numbing, sorry. Good find on the fossil beds.
theirs a lady i know who went to Nebraska, from her reports, i think its appropriate to have a thread. Do you chase tornadoes? From the reports of my significant other, Nebraska is big, open, and free range. as far as the eye can see, the mind will try to understand. such a large amount of distance for the eye to see and the mind to understand almost allows a bigger state of thought. it seems that the environment of Nebraska does allow for ones mind to push in a bigger manner. i seem to suggest a large environment to anyone who likes to think
i live in omaha. and it's a city that proves we aren't just cornfields I'm having trouble finding other hippies though. I'd also like to find some that are around my age.
Im not from Nebraaska, but I park in Lincoln for a couple months during the winter and just hang out.
At least when you live in Nebraska you have 1 thing to brag about. That you have one of the highest tax rates in the country. Someones gotta pay to keep all our dirt roads clean.
Nebraska resident here. Born on the iowa side of the nebraska/iowa/south dakota border. But ended up being a resident on the nebraska side of it all. I still live there, like many people from the "backwoods" I never moved far. I guess im just super content. Im around lots of hillbilly's and shit. They all try to talk about the price of corn, about their cattle, how long they drove on a tractor, football, nebraska corn huskers, their pickup truck.. And yea... you get the idea. Its like, "what the fuck! just cuz I grew up here, and talk like you all dont mean im a friggin hayseed!". Country music sucks. And where I work I feel like I tend to be able to carry on conversation with the people who came from other parts of the country like LA and stuff. Hell no I wont ever live in a big city if I can help it, but it just seems like I carry on better and more interesting conversations with the people who arent all like them dudes from duck dynasty.
