Every single Terry Pratchett novel Bit of a fan here But the classics are great. I enjoyed Ulysses, To Kill a Mockingbird, War and Peace and David Cooperfield all quite a bit. I need to read again soon, having a dry spell
Ahhhh I have never read the book but I saw the cartoon when I was like 5. I just remember the scene where there are a bunch of happy little bunnies going through their little tunnels and then construction workers come in and basically fill the holes and kill the bunnies. It was pretty heart breaking as a five year old.
Yeah, it's definitely a (sorta) disturbing movie for a kid to watch. The book has more heart wrenching scenes.. but I lose it every time at the end of the movie when the Black Rabbit of Inle comes for Hazel... Also from Richard Adams.. The Plague Dogs. Fucking brilliant.
I recently read Animal Dreams and The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver and absolutely loved them both. Animal Dreams was really easy to relate to.
I love the classics the best! To Kill a Mockingbird, Catcher in the Rye, Animal Farm. But, my ultimate favorites have got to be 1984 and A Clockwork Orange, I'm crazy about them! I'm also a huge fan of Stephen King, anything by him is a favorite of mine!
I read a lot of fluff. Mostly meaningless mysteries for fun. But fiction that I reread: Anything Steinbeck "Human Being" by Christopher Morley And I am in the process of reading the last Harry Potter book. Have to admit I thoroughly enjoy them. And with the last movies about to come out, have to refresh my memory.
My personal bible would have to beee You Shall Know Our Velocity by Dave Eggers I encourage all avid readers to pick it up. Absolutely amazing! ♥//IO
I have a fair few favourite books. Pretty much everything ever written by: Douglas Adams, Tom Holt, Raymond E. Feist, Janny Wurts and Brian & Frank Herbert. Then there's 1984 by George Orwell (of course), Catch 22 by Joseph Heller, Island, and Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, and The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. There are probably some I've forgotten, but those will do for now...
-The Road by Cormac Mccarthy.
