I notice that the singers are very talent no doubt you need talent for a record deal but Country singers are very good!

never understood why people playa hate on country so much?

 

I dont care for much of it but a big fan of Waylon Jennings, I have most of his recordings..

I like bluegrass and mostly the older things best. I have the feeling that new songs are often composed in such a way that they please a broader audience, they are smoother, more commercialized. In general that might not be true, but it is for the songs that are broadcast.

i think country music is great.i like what i've heard going way back to the 1920's up to todays music.it's changed some but i think there's some very good music still being made.

I love country music. Real, gritty, southern music with soul and twang. Most of the stuff I like is older or local, cause I think newer mainstream country is pretty much just pop music.

 

I highly agree with this. Couldent say it better. If its not about beer, horses, or god. i like it. i need to have soul. its all about soul.

 

If you're ever down south check out some festivals we have lots in TN, especially in the summertime. You hear some really spectacular country, bluegrass, and folk music. Rhythm and roots is a lot of fun, worth traveling for, and blue plum. Not to mention bonaroo right down the road, haha but that's a completely different story.

I have been on the computer and have found old videos of Ched Atkins. He can really play guitar. I was wondering if anyone new of other great country musicians?
