I think Rush is one of the greatest bands existing now or that have ever been and they are from Toronto.

 

How could I forget the New Deal. LOVE EM!

Love the Hip, saw 'em back in October and they tore the roof off that place.
A Winnipeg band called The Waking Eyes is absolutely amazing, but you gotta see 'em live to really get what they're about.
Ridley Bent is another good one, he makes country music cool...imagine if Rage Against the Machine and Cake combined forces and started a country band...that's Ridley Bent.
And of course, Mr. Young.

That's just the newer bands...

But as already mentionned there's lots of great Canadian talent. I Challenge everyone reading this thread to find an artist they have not yet heard of and go listen to some and if they enjoy to support their Canadian artists.
