An Autocrat rules without legal, sanctioned opposition parties.

Are we still arguing about literal definitions?

Fascism technically means Right wing, but it doesn't change the fact the the Left wing in today's politics, actually means total government control, which means no freedom or power for the individual.

Maybe it's more accurate to say total Liberalism, is an oligarch of tyranny. I think the point was that the Left's agenda is to forcibly impose their will on everyone.

Maybe the political right, but that is because they're doing the same thing a the Left. They work together against the interest of the people.

My point is that many Leftists inadvertently support the current system, and make no changes for the better of the people, merely focus more power and wealth to those who already control the system.

    Again... as do the right.

Why not this, fight the government, not your neighbors. Which ever side of the fence those neighbors lean towards.

The mainstream political right. The Libertarian right actually defends freedoms. The left doesn't truly defend human rights, their intention are to expand government, raise taxes and, ban firearms for law abiding citizens, but yet, allow cops and government to have guns.

I'm not fighting my neighbors. I said Leftist inadvertently support government, and that is namely because they believe in the expansion of government and, typically defend actions like banning large soft drinks, restrictions on free speech, restrictions on the constitution- all because it was commited by a Democrat, and not a Republican.

This is not a straw man argument. These are people I deal with here on this site. They refuse to hear any opposing views, they only want to force their will unto everyone, even though it's become rather evident that their will demonizes law abiding citizens, and gives democratic politicians a pass to wage unconstitutional wars, kill people, take rights away and, control policies with "executive orders," rather than going to congress, and allowing a vote!

And you don't do the same? Dude, you know me, I'm not fighting you here just pointing out what you are doing is wasting your energy... You aren't going to change anything by coming here and calling everybody a leftist.

Oh and Libertarian-ism isn't an answer either. It's still controlled by the elite.

I'm not fighting you either. You asked a question, and I'm answering.

This is a an ill-informed assumption, and totally wrong.

Libertarians don't believe in government bailouts, that went to help the elite.

Libertarians want to shut down the Federal Reserve, which prints out infinite amounts of money, to give it to other banks, and, devalues the dollars in our wallet.

Libertarians believe that victimless crimes, don't constitute a forceful prison sentence.

Libertarians don't believe in going to war, unless the country is attacked or threatened.

We also follow the Constitution, and don't believe government security is worth our freedom and privacy.

Obama got Millions of dollars in 2012 (the most expensive election in history) from Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan.

    Romney did too.

Ron Paul had more support from soldiers than ALL other candidates combined.

so tell me how Libertarianism is geared toward the elite?
This is an assumption made by leftist, merely because we believe in less taxes...

I know you, I like to think we're friends. But, logically, libertarianism is the only party that works to cut down the elite, by taking away their power, and making them subject to laws, (which are already in place, but not followed)

That's true- but, that has nothing to do with my views on how the country should be. We have laws against bribery and fraud- I feel as though, if the government actually followed those laws, and the Constitution, we wouldn't have these problems.

I agree that the 0.1% (the elite of the elite) are the worse- they make up the Military-industrial complex: Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Halliburton etc.

Monsanto is a business that should be shut down, yet, Obama protected them from any legal liability if their GMO's gives you cancer.

If real people ran the government, we'd have a fair world. It's up to us to fix our reality, but we'll never truly do that when the Government creates the fear, the wars, the waste of money. And (no offense intended) but, I feel like leftist disregard that and say tax all the rich more, expand the government and, waste more money.

It's true alot of them want to cut military, but they want to expand humanitarian spending to the same level it's at now, or higher. When, the real problem is that we've been living above our means since 9/11 and, we're losing our freedom. Actually, the debt has almost doubled every year, which is insane. We're at 17 trillion now!

To me, it's just continuing the problem

Dividing everyone into categories like libertarian, liberal, right-wing, left-wing does nothing but benefit those who are in control. By dividing the world into black and white, left and right, us versus them, all you are doing is helping those who hold power by ensuring that the people being exploited will not unite and rise up.

In my opinion, the focus of the people should be on a transition to a fair electoral system, and then we can see what the majority of people want after that.

I'm pretty sure that you need some sort of agreement over what you're fighting for before a revolution can take place.

That is my point. We all argue over our visions of an ideal society, but nobody talks about how to get there. These arguments are all pointless until we figure out a way to spread the power more evenly among the population.

STP (and those with similar opinions to him) and I disagree on a lot of things, most things even, but I think that we can all agree that there needs to be some changes to the electoral systems in both of our countries in order to ensure that everyone's vote actually matters, and that anyone can run for office and be given a fair shake without having to have millions upon millions of dollars to spend.

^ I thought you blocked me

I personally dc what people call themselves.

But, I agree that we need serious changes, I think just think its important to look at the implications of what happens when a government gets too big, and I think we're seeing it.

It's not my intention to divide myself from people who want a positive change in government- I just don't see a bigger government being the solution.

The problem is the POWER is the MONEY, and since there is resistance to take the money away from the .01%'ers to distribute to the poor as a direct asset to asset citizen to citizen transfer.

We remain stagnant with the .01%'ers simply using their wealth to lobby legislators and to put their people in office by funding their campaigns.

But you can't raise taxes on em and you can't simply go in there and do wealth redistribution because "socialism and facism" become all the rage in rhetorical in the general eye again...and it is concerning because it sets a bad precedent about government overreach.

The fascists running Ukraine, indeed there are some, I don't understand why they are 'right wing nationalists'.

Isn't conservative retaining tradition, and liberal diverting from it? Isn't "right wing" conservative, and "left wing" liberal?
If they are diverting from their traditions and how things are, then I have yet to understand why these people who want to change everything are right-wing. Explain?

There, all the ideologies in the world are possible. But Karypatsov is a good defender of industrialism for the eventual self-sufficiency of Ukrainian Energy. He may have learned his stuff from Ahmedinejad. I doubt it, as Putin was in appeasement to have him first. lol.
