Suffering is hedonistic the reason behind this is pain and pleasure comes from the same part of our brain. This part of the brain is called the nucleus accumbens located near the front of the brain. It is currently being looked at as a cure for turning chronic pain into pleasure along with how it entertwined with the emotional circuits in the brain.

Worry based fantasies and daydreams fall directly into this category.
